A good reason would be their complete lack of talent and the irony that they are topping the record charts because over crazed young teenage girls who most likely don't even have jobs are the ones going out and buying their cds. |

Besides how are they any worse then some of the singers out there that say the F word every other time..or talk about killin so and so. Atleast Nsync's and Backstreet boys and Brit for that matter has nothing to do with that crap! |

Being old school.....and a huge fan of the old bands....Pink Floyd, Stones, Beatles, Eagles, Poco, Led Zepplin....my list goes on and on. I don't mind boy band. Occasionally I catch them on and listen. They are ok for dance music and the very, very young.....  |

There is a difference between talent and what I like and dislike. I dislike some country singers, but I admit they do have talent. They can play guitars well even though I dislike the style. Even opera singers, personally I don't like that sort of music, but they sure do have talent. Not just anyone could get up there and sing like that. But with these popular bands it is not like that. Almost anyone can use voice synthesizers and I'm sure they do. They are popular based on their looks. Tell me would they still be popular if they were overweight and ugly? No they would not. Yet in other genres of music their music sells without image. Those bands would be no where with out MTV. I rest my case. |

I hate to tell some people this and make people think less of me, but they are manufactured. I have to admit that one of the BSB songs are a guilty pleasure...once in a great while, but they were put together by some people who just wanted to make money. And I heard a rumor (I'm not sure whether this is true or not, so don't rag on me) that Britney Spears lip syncs. I never got any proof, but it's a rumor. And look at O-Town...everyone knows how they were put together, which makes me wonder at the credibility of BSB and Nsync.  |
