Meaningless
Love is just another word,
no one means it anymore today,
people don't think about it,
its just something that they say.
No one cares anymore,
They have forgotten what real love is,
and what it used to stand for.
Love used to glow from the heart,
love used to light up the dark,
now all love does it corrupt people,
and tear families apart.
Women get beaten day after day,
but their husbands tell them they love them,
and so they stay.
Now love is a word we toss around,
just to see,
who we can get to lose their virginity.
Love has become spineless
and it has lost all its dignity.
We let the word "love"
allow us to be abused,
it tricks our minds,
and so we get used.
Love truly is another word for regret,
for broken promises
that the heart won't forget.
Love is dirty,
Loves not kind,
It no longer brings people together,
now its the fist that binds.
Love once held happiness,
it once stood for romance,
but now I sit here wondering,
if love still stands a chance.
