Date: 4/2/2002 7:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 11348    I honestly don't know.... luckily for me, I don't get cramps or any side effects when that time of the month comes around. I get dizzy on like the 2nd day and that's all. It's still a pain though. It doesn't sound like there's any advice I could offer you though that hasn't already been said. Don't you hate how girls have all the sucky things? Girls have to have periods, deal with pregnancy, suffer the lesser treatment of the sexes... all kinds of things. It's really not fair. Hope you feel better.

If you know someone who had surgery or takes pain meds, ask to share a few, if its ok with your parents of course.

Date: 4/2/2002 9:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 9130    I don't think midol helps. I think the generic kinds of pain killers made for cramps work better than anything... and trust me, i have a LOT of pain due to my problem...(maybe I am just weird.)
Date: 4/2/2002 10:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 38119    I find curling up in the fetal position helps sometimes.Sometimes I lay down with my laptop on my stomach. The heat and pressure from the laptop make my cramps go away.Or you can just use a heating pad if you have one.You can also take some Ibuprofen.
Date: 4/3/2002 1:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 28899    Awww, that sux :(. Whenever I get cramps, I warm up my feet, drink water, eat potatoes and avoid anything sugar like poison (it makes you more sensitive to pain). A friend of mine had to go on birth control pills just to keep that cramps down. That seemed to do the trick. Other thatn that, maybe a pillow between your knees.. Just try to stay comfy :).
Date: 4/3/2002 1:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 28899    "thatn"? lol. It should be "than" :p.
Date: 4/3/2002 7:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 52247    take some codine:) amber22
Date: 4/3/2002 9:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 8941    Mine used to be like that. Take a pain reliever, sit in a bath as hot as you can stand it for as long as you can stand it, and then go lay in bed with a heating pad and take a nap. It was usually ten times better when I woke up.
Date: 4/3/2002 12:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 50474    if u don't have a heat pad or water bottle, wet a towel damp, put in microwave for 2 minutes than wrap (carefull it should be hot!!) in a plastic bag, homeade heat pad-may
Date: 4/3/2002 1:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 44321    I used to avoid caffeime of any kind as it made the flow and the cramps worse.that word should be cafeine LOL I used to just sit and take the cramps I have very high pain tolerance. But I have heard midol, motrin and pamprin were good.I no longer have periods I just spot every now and then I am on dep provera and have been for 6 years now and it had basically stopped my periods.
Date: 4/3/2002 1:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 44321    I am not telling you to go on depo provera LOL I am just telling you why I no longer have periods :)I thought I would clear my comment up :)
