There is a pill called quinine sulfate. I am SURE I spelled that wrong. They gave it to my step dad because when he dialyzes he gets really bad leg cramps. I used it for this problem you are having and it worked. My doc also said it was ok. If you choose not to take pills a heating pad always made me feel better. Everyone says exsercize but that just made me throw up. Im sorry you are hurting, I really do know the feeling. *hugs* |

I honestly don't know.... luckily for me, I don't get cramps or any side effects when that time of the month comes around. I get dizzy on like the 2nd day and that's all. It's still a pain though. It doesn't sound like there's any advice I could offer you though that hasn't already been said. Don't you hate how girls have all the sucky things? Girls have to have periods, deal with pregnancy, suffer the lesser treatment of the sexes... all kinds of things. It's really not fair. Hope you feel better. |

common in young uns, lol, I know what your talking bougt though. try the heat, lying down with your legs elevated, try aking a warm shower, aleve heard works well, being my mother is a nurse I always got to get in her stash of good pain relievers, lol. If you know someone who had surgery or takes pain meds, ask to share a few, if its ok with your parents of course. |

I find curling up in the fetal position helps sometimes.Sometimes I lay down with my laptop on my stomach. The heat and pressure from the laptop make my cramps go away.Or you can just use a heating pad if you have one.You can also take some Ibuprofen. |

Awww, that sux :(. Whenever I get cramps, I warm up my feet, drink water, eat potatoes and avoid anything sugar like poison (it makes you more sensitive to pain). A friend of mine had to go on birth control pills just to keep that cramps down. That seemed to do the trick. Other thatn that, maybe a pillow between your knees.. Just try to stay comfy :). |

Mine used to be like that. Take a pain reliever, sit in a bath as hot as you can stand it for as long as you can stand it, and then go lay in bed with a heating pad and take a nap. It was usually ten times better when I woke up. |
