I'm not sure wether it's genetic or not. It's Claustraphobia. I have it when I'm in an elevator every time. I don't do small spaces, or closets to well. When your heart races like that it's a panic attack, and they're scary. I don't think either one of my parents has that problem, I'm not sure how or why I developed it. clausterphobia that is the name i am not sure if i spelled it right.I developed mine all on my own cause i was in a fire once and was trapped there for a bit and could not get the window open.I had it a little bit before but then after sheesh i always make sure of where exits are and stuff.  |

I know that fear, I have a fear of heights and its really bad. I thought I would outgrow it in time but I believe mine gets worse. I think its something you just develop but I'm not sure of that.  |
