absolutely true! Got to http://www.religioustolerance.org/easter.htm and read their article. It is very precise on the origins of alot of specific easter traditions. they also have an article on Christmas and Halloween.  |

Yes, it is true....the two were combined by under the rule of the emperor Constantine to try to bring together people of both beliefs. The date that Easter is celebrated on is really based on a pagan holiday, Eostre, on the day of the first full moon after March 20th, to honor the Goddess Eostre (the Teutonic Goddess of fertility).  |

Yes, that is true. It was designed to overlay the Pagan traditions to make it harder for the worshipers of the old ways to continue to follow their beliefs, and have to convert to avoid retribution.  |

True there are a lot of Pagan ideas incorporated into Christian holidays. Try to focus on the real reason for the celebration though, not all the extra stuff. |
