ok, it could be sleep paralysis or the beggining of an OBE..... here are they OBE symptoms: body is heavy; tingly-undescribable sensation all over the body; sometimes light; sometimes a high pitched noise is heard; intense vibrations and then a complete still where you can move around; sometimes eyes twitching; magnetic force felt pushing body(sometimes); getting lost in thoughts; after the attempt, success, or accidental OBE, the body is colder than normal; when out, a hazy grey world is seen, which, as you get farther away from the body gets more clear and possible colors(i havent gotten to a point where there are colors yet). |

Oh yeah, I suffered that about 20 times through-out my life. There are so many folk tales about it. I cannot tell you WHY it comes onto people? But there are some scientific theorys on the net, do a search. I become completely paralzyed, unable to speak, move or anything, yet I am awake. I then forcefully pull myself out of it. Its a battle actually. And scary. I havent had one in ages and Im glad. I wouldnt worry too much, like I said, mine stopped. take care |

I don't know much about OBE. But I do know what sleep paralysis is. Cuz I do that alot. But I can't see anything that's going on around me. But I can hear everything around me, and I am talking to people in my mind, but actually I'm not outloud. You know like I can hear my children, and I think I'm talking to them (I am in my mind) but not outloud. Hope I've helped. *hugs and love* |

As your mind enters a sleep state, your body eners a state of complete muscular relaxation/paralysis called atonia. This happens so that you are unable to act out your dreams in the real world. Sometimes a peson may experience what is called a lucid dream, which is essentially, possesing full awareness in a dream state. You probably just became lucid in a dream and became aware of your own atonia before you were fully awake.-Gandwere |

Sleeping is a great mystery. A lot of things happens in your dream. This sleep paralysis happens to me sometimes. It happens to some people that believe in OBE, astral travel and psychics experiences. Your mon was wrong because before it happpens to me i get a jolt and open my eyes. It can also be that your brain is asleep but your spirt is still awake. This is sleep paralysis. |
