If Hell doesn't exist, reading the bible would just be a waste of time. |

Hell does not exist. I am a Wiccan, and I do not believe in a person satan, satan, demons,or hell. But that is my belief system. I believe the bible talks about a great abyss, where satan will be bound after the tribulation. And I am sure Hades is mentioned a few times. I guess I better let the christians handle this one.....TygerGirl |

I can't answer your question as to what's left for a person without faith..I don't judge, I can only say what I feel because of my faith..Yes, I do think there is a hell. Simply because God's word says that there is..I don't think that it is just an easy way to get people to become Christains either... |

Well, you shouldn't be scared of hell if you don't believe in the Bible. I'm not afraid of hell because hell is afraid of me :p Just kidding... |

I think everyone has their own version of what Hell is, or will be. Personally, I think we're in hell now! I think life is where all the pain and heartache and "badstuff" is, and that once you reach "enlightenment" (after many many lifetimes) you rise to something better. |

I was raised in a religious home. Religion was "forced" upon me. After growing up and leaving home,I started questioning all the things I had been taught. I read books by George Anderson,I hope the things he says in his books are for real!! His books are different than the Bible,of course. On the subject of Hell... Don't you think we all make are on private "hell" at times here on earth?? |

The only reason people see life as hard, or "hell" is b/c they're without God. Trust me, I've been on both sides...I choose to be a Christian b/c it suits me, and I believe there is a God. |

even if you don't have faith, it doesnt matter, hell exists. like there's heaven, there's hell. i dunno why people assume the nice things only await us and avoid the things they dont wanna hear about coz theyre scared. |

i believe hell exists and i definately do NOT believe that earth is hell.. there is no joy and love and pleasure in hell.. so how could earth be hell? I am a christian if you couldn't tell :) Good luck finding out what you believe.. by the way, about the bible: christian or not the bible has a great set of morals and values and life lessons in it. i know many non-christians that agree the bible is a great book to live by even though they don't believe in God. So, it isn't a waste of time even if you come to find you don't believe in hell or God. |

No...I don't believe hell exists. I do believe that there are different levels that we all obtain in the spirit world and I believe in reincarnation so that, hopefully, with each life we learn and progress a little bit more and we move up in the levels. The only hell that I believe in is kind of like your conscious when you have caused harm and you realize it and have to deal with the harm your actions have caused....but as for a burning hell with a devil....no, I don't believe in that at all. |

Hellfire is a figment of mans imagination, hell according to the scriptures is mans common grave. It is where we all end up good and bad. The teaching of hellfire and brimstone has been an effective tool used by christendom to frighten people into subjection. My cousin was raised in a catholic environment. She went to school where the nuns taught that if they did not do even their homework they would go to hell. Even the little kids didn't escape that scare tactic. |

No, hell does not exist! It is just a man made tool invented by the early churches to control the masses. Believe in only what makes sense to you and discard all things that do not! Posey |

I hate to tell you all this, but YOU'RE IN IT RIGHT NOW. This plane of matter is the "hell" the "amenta" to which all the gods 'descended'. It's a purely symbolic place meaning physical life. It is where the soul is trapped or crucified on the 'crossbar' of matter. This is it so enjoy the stay. You'll be back again too! Peace, |

Yes, there is a Hell. It is a real place, just like Schenectedy or Tupolo, and it is a terrible place. However, for those who have heard a "fire and brimstone" sermon, the purpose of such sermins is not to "scare" someone into becoming a Christian, but to emphasize what the fate of those who REFUSE to repent before God will face. God is holy, and as such that which is not holy (namely sinful mankind) cannot stand to be in His presence; it would destroy them. God will not destroy that which He loves, so He offers us the choice - repent (through belief in Jesus) and be with Him, or don't repent and spend eternity away from Him. THAT IS WHAT HELL IS - THE ABSENCE OF GOD! God will not force someone to be in His presence if they don't want to be, and He won't destroy them (since that would be murder, which is not holy). The only thing left is to set asside a part of creation where God will remove His presence and place those who do not wish to be with Him there. Peace, Tom |
