"On the lanai"...kronk

Look out across the endless bay-

Friends so dear and far away-

Can't help but wonder how they feel-

On this moonlit night, they seem so real-

One is sleeping.

One's awake.

Some are scheming.

Others hate-

This one loves me.

That one fears me.

Mothers say, to not come near me-

Moonlight leaves a glistening trail,

from my heart out, to those I hail.

Thunder rolls, then lightning flashes-

Water roars down mountain passes-

In a house...on a hill overlooking the bay-

Hear the weather coming, coming from behind-

Storm clouds move offshore and the trail disappears-

The pounding seas fall silent-

All is dark.

Date: 4/4/2002 9:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 34775    "As for me,
At least
Five thousand nights,
I've seen the moon,
And I thought-
With great benefit.
Only just tonight
I saw the space between
Myself and it...
Now I know that nobody,
Not even the rain-
Has such
Small hands."...a bit of my "Divinity" for a peice that is so. I wonder about all the people that are out there...that are gone...they all touch my heart regularly...we all see the same sky...no matter where we are...:)
