I think side effects like that happen in rare cases....in which case you just have to call the doctor and they'll put you on something different when at all possible. |

I've taken it. One to be aware of also is photosensitivity...which means you can sunburn easily, and I did...but that was the only side effect I had. |

I'm so glad that I read this. I have taken Amoxicillin over and over throughout the years and have had absolutely no problems with it. It's simply a form of Penicillin if it helps you to think of it that way. I really don't think it will hurt you. All it has ever done for me is make me well again. Take your medicine. If you feel nauseous, try to eat a saltine or two, drink some Sprite, 7 Up or Gatorade and get plenty of rest. I really do hope that you feel better soon! |

Oh yea, Ive taken it, MANY times. LOL. But fortunatly Ive never had any side effects. I do know that my doctor gives it to me anytime I need an antibiotic. In fact I dont remember getting another one. LOL. NE ways it works wonderfully and if there are side effects just do what Frank says. NightSkyDancer |

I have taken it and, I have not experienced to many side effects. You should not let aan infection go, otherwise you will have bigger problems. You probably were told to take it a full 10 days. You should, or it will come back worse. (even if you do feel better after a couple of days.) |

I think those side effects are pretty rare. Antibiotics sometimes get rid of the good bacteria. You should eat plenty of yogurt while you are taking the Amoxicillin. It will help put back the good bacteria and help you heal faster. FrogLady |

I've had to take it a few times. My kids have had to take it too. I've never had any side affects from it, if I did, I didn't realize it. |

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic just like penicillin. I have taken it and so have all my children and just about everyone else I know and none of us have ever had any of the side effects. Those are listed because of necessity and are usually uncommon. If you have side effects then call the doctor but chances are that you won't. And it's the only way you are going to cure that ear infection. |
