Been there, done that...only I received an email from a site I am a member of. It just wasn't official mail from them. Shortly there after, my puter was hacked. The real AOL had to cancell all of my passwords and reset them. |

Thanks for the warning. I would most likely have called them on the phone anyway if I had got that. *HUGS* |

Awesome information CaptivatingBoi, This happened to me about a year ago. I was sent an email from a music site I am a member at, and it said I needed to resubmitt my credit card info. When I went there, I put it all in and then it went to some strange site immediately. I called the card company and canceled. Not a moment too soon! Be careful people, he is right about this. Love to you, |

As AOL tell you. They NEVER email you for your credit card information EVER. They will call you or something to that effect. They NEVER ask for information of that nature via email and tell you to NEVER beleive those types of emails. |

Thanks Captivatingboi for the warning. I got one that said I received a gretting once, and it took me to the AOL greeting page (well...it looked like the aol greeting page, but it wasnt) and it said I had to re-enter my password. WELL this was a long time ago, and I was stupid, and I did put in my password, then it sent me back to the AOL greeting page. I was like "okay...where's my greeting" and then i realized that it was fake and that no one would want to send me a greeting anyway, so i changed my password. haha they didnt get me! my friend also got that same scam too. grrr |

Always, always look for the blue envelope if the envelope is not blue I do not even open it. The delete button comes in real handy. |
