This is more of a girl thing....A few weeks ago, I started using Thermasilk Shampoo and Conditioner (the moisturizing kind). Since then it has been building up in my hair and I can't get it out with other shampoos, etc...I'm not very experienced with conditioner build up problems cuz I've always used conditioner that doesn't build up in my hair.... I've tried to scrub it all out, but hardly any conditioner build-up has come out! It's driving me insane!! What should I do??

Date: 4/9/2002 8:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 18376    Buy a clarifying shampoo to remove the build up.

Date: 4/9/2002 8:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 38751    maybe this one just sint 4 you , there are a lot of other ones out there it's really a matter or trial and error until u get the right one , if u have dry hair it is important u see a hair dresser and ask about shampoos for your hair.
Date: 4/9/2002 8:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 47699    My Bride loves that stuff. I had the same problems with it once and she came after me with a blow torch and a pick axe. I never had anything to complain about after that. 8o
Date: 4/9/2002 8:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 51960    shave your head. no just kidding. keep washing it?? and dont use it again?? i really dont know. good luck with it though *hugs*
Date: 4/9/2002 8:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 50100    That's a good one. I find thermasilk to be a good shampoo. I don't use shampoo and conditioner in one. All shampoos basically have the same ingredients, read the labels. I suggest if you can't get it out go to a profesional and tell them your problem. hope your hair is back to norm. whatever that is soon. caramel kisses
Date: 4/9/2002 8:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 20750    This works!! neutrogena makes a special shampoo to get rid of build up!! & it works great!
Date: 4/9/2002 8:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 11341    i think its the plain old neutrogena? it smells nasty but works.
Date: 4/9/2002 8:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 52665    i think that if you use neutragena or infusium 23 products that are clarifying you're hair'll be great! also, you may or may not want to try this, but i heard that mayonnaise is very good for clarifying your hair and scalp... :) *TearsForBradley*
Date: 4/9/2002 8:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 42519    Try dog shampoo... cant hurt...
Date: 4/9/2002 8:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 42519    Seriously, my sister uses dog shampoo for her hair and she loves it! there has to be more dog shampoos than there is people shampoo.. i kid you not, you got your puppy tearless, you have your oatmeal extract, your vanilla scent, your sensitive skined, dark coat, white coat, everything! your bound to find something!
Date: 4/9/2002 9:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 24963    #1 dont touch that shampoo and conditioner again! LOL And here's an old trick you might find helpful. After you are done shampooing and conditioning your hair take a large glass filled about 1/3 with distilled vinigar, fill the rest of the cup with water and pour it slowly and evenly over you hair. Make sure you work it into your hair good because it takes out the build up. Then rinse, and do not shampoo or condition again till your next wash. I hope this helps!
Date: 4/9/2002 9:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 27046    LOL I have no clue what conditioner build up is, I don't think that I have ever *seen* it but clarifying shampoos are supposed to strip the buildup because it will strip the natural oils from your hair, which is why you don't use them daily unless you buy a daily clarifier....I use TONS of conditioner I go through at least 2 1/2 bottles of every bottle of shampoo I use and I have never had a problem with a buildup...I wouldn't even know what to look for...
Date: 4/10/2002 3:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 34814    Ewww icky I hate when that happens...Get some shampoo that doesn't build up and wash your hair. Then rinse in lemon. Dry hair damp and add a little warm olive oil and do a hair wrap over night and then go back to your old shamp and condit OK :) Good Luck
Date: 4/10/2002 4:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 42464    I think that maybe you should start using panteen pro v it works espessly if you flat Iron your hair alot I don't think that the build up is that bad but I am not quite sure.
