Lessons from the Real World!
Living well really IS the best revenge.
Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
You only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape.
When baking, follow directions carefully. When cooking on top of the stove, go by your own taste.
Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond to it.
The two most essential phrases for a happy relationship are: "I apologize" and "You are right."
Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you decided to see beyond the imperfections and be happy anyway.
When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.
If you woke up breathing, be thankful! You have another chance!
Being miserable because of a former relationship just proves that the other person was right about you.
Real friends are those who, when you make a fool of yourself, don't feel you've done a permanent job.
If he or she says that you are too good for them - believe it.
You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.
You should lead your life so you wouldn't be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip.
Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.
And last but not least... Never pass up an opportunity to pee!

LIFE BEFORE COMPUTERS!
An application was for employment, A program was a TV show... A cursor used profanity, And a keyboard was on a piano!
Memory was something that you lost with age And a CD was a bank account, And if you had a corrupted disk, It would hurt when you found out!
Compress was what you did to garbage, Not something you did to a file, And if you unzipped anything in public You'd be in jail for a while!
Log on was adding wood to a fire, A hard drive was a trip on the road, A mouse pad was where a mouse lived, And a backup happened to the commode!
Cutting, you did with a pocket knife, Pasting, you did with glue. The Web was where a spider lived And a virus was the flu!

There was an elderly couple sitting on the front porch in their rocking chairs and talking about what a good life they had enjoyed when the lady said: Pa I would like to have some ice cream and he said that sounds good Ma with chocolate syrup. I'll go to the store and get it.
She said you had better write it down and he said I don't need to my memory is still good. When he got back he had two ham sandwiches and she said see Pa I told you to write it down. I wanted mustard on mine.

WILL NATURE TAKE ITS COURSE Adversity: the story of the butterfly A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appears. He watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no futher.
So the man decided to help the butterfly, he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerge easily. But it had a swollen body and small shriveled wings. The man expected that, at any moment the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened!
The butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening was God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into tis wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly.
I ask for strenght... and God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked for wisdom... and God gave me problems to solve. I ask for prosperities... and God gave me brain and brawn to work. I ask for courage... and God gave me danger to overcome. Iask for love... and God gave me troubled people to help. I ask for favors... and God gave me opportunities. I received nothing I wanted. I received everything I needed.
