She got bored with
Semantics and decided
To drop her wit.
Just gonna tell it
Forward from here
On out, instead of
Coming up with some
Clever (messed) up
thing to say.
How (terribly)
Condescending
Of her to drop
That patronizing game.
I think she is just
Dropping her little
Habit of twisting
Reality because
For once, reality is right.
She said we were
Like smoking a cigarette,
Always wanting more
And more and more,
Hoping that each time
Would be like the first.
After while it becomes
A creature of habit.
So, I agreed,
And thanked her
For the cancer I
Had for years, and
That I felt proud
Knowing that I
Had defeated it.
