Upset with the humane society

I have a kitten, shes about 10 months old. shes really sweet and cute. I got her when i lived with my friend, i moved back home awhile ago so know she lives with my boyfriend becasue my sister is allergic to cats. Shes gotten out of his apartment twice, accidentally. She first broke the screen, and the second time sneaked out when my guy was doing laundry. Both times she was at the humane society, and he went and got her out. they called my boyfriend and said they wanted to take the kitten because he's neglecting her. I dont see how she's neglected, shes always playing with him, shes well feed, she has her toys, and she sleeps under the blankets with him. Why are they calling him over her accidentally getting out when there are ppl who beat the daylights out of there animals, and they get them back??? I am so upset becasue its not right. shes not being hurt or mistreated. I have always helped the humane society with their fundraisers, i've walked the dogs, and i've volunteered there to help when it gets busy! i just wanted to vent. so thanks for those of you who read this.

Date: 4/10/2002 7:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 52335    U have a point why take a kitten that is being taken care of.. over a kitten that is being abused?????????? that doesn't make sence
Date: 4/10/2002 7:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 42519    they are just doin their job, if they want, they can go to your bf's house to see the living conditions, then they can not be mistaken that the cat is being neglected..
Date: 4/10/2002 7:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51960    the thing is, they know i'd never hurt an animal and they know its my kitty!!
Date: 4/10/2002 8:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 48128    Sounds like they are bored at the humane society and have nothing better to do but threaten to take your kitty or someone at the humane society wants your sweet kitty so they are trying to take it away!
Date: 4/10/2002 8:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 51960    lol.. with my luck they would put her in a circus with clowns. lol
Date: 4/11/2002 2:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 49277    strangely enough that sort of thing happens a lot. even at places that rescue kids instead of animals. i guess its just easier to "rescue" someone/thing from nice people than the other way..
Date: 4/11/2002 5:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 48577    Maybe have a talk with them, explain what they are doing is wrong and why your boyfriend has they kitty. Then ask them in what terms do they think the kitty is being neglected. Just see if there is a misunderstanding.
Date: 4/11/2002 11:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 40979    PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN! YOU GOT THE RIGHT IT IS YOUR CAT. STUPID I KNOW BUT IF I COULD I WOULD TAKE IT TO COURT. LIKE I SAID IT SOUNDS DUMB BUT IF I WHERE OLD ENOUGH ID DO IT!
