Id be a little offened to, why shouldnt they be the ones paying? Well, Id be pretty mad about spending 40 bucks on it, but its a small price to pay if your getting into a job that you will like. Good Luck! |

I think that is so crazy!& also Why do parents HAVE to pay a donation every year for their child to attend school(isn't that why we have taxes?)? Isn't Donation just that 'a donation'? But if they don't pay then they don't get the books they need for school! ....I forgot I am in Alabama... |

Well, it doesnt seem quite fair.. but there HAS to be something in effect that protects our children from pedophiles.. There has been SO many teachers who have been caught with kids that I think $40 is a small price to pay for peace of mind. Most all jobs now have a fee for background checks.. My son-in-law went for a job interview today working in an office to a warehouse... and he has to pay $75 for his background check... Signs of the future huh? |

I can look at this two ways...1. If the Govt were paying for it then we would be guaranteed that all students would have the test taken, and not have to worry about a student teacher going somewhere else where these tests are not required and start teaching only to find out that he/she is a sexual predator. and 2. If the money is coming out of your pocket you will be proving that you are not a sexual predator by willingly allowing them to check your background..xoxo |

Gail, after he passed the test, did he get the job? I feel that they should only make them pay for a test if they are garunteed the job if they pass it. I dont think it would be right to charge for a test, then not offer the job to the person. That sounds like a money making scam. |
