I am going to school in Canada, starting next fall. I can't wait. Well my god-parents live there and our families have been close for over 10 years...so it's not like I will go up there not knowing anyone. Well, there is a certain member of this family who I am interested in possibly hooking up with. My friend's 23 year old son. He is canadian and I am an american (southerner at that). We definately have alot in common but due to our backgrounds, there are gonna be so many differences too. He is an awesome guy all around. We have been friends since we both were 12yrs old. He sees me as a sis. I don't want him to see me as a friend of the family or his adopted sis. With my new life starting across the border, I would like to start something new with him as well. Unfortunately, here's the down side....he already has a girlfriend and has moved out west to search for a job. The only good part, he's moving home, I'll get to see him but she (his g/f) will be there too. His mom told me (I don't know her motive why) that he isn't happy with her anymore. I know she (his mom) would be thrilled if she new her "adopted daughter" as she affectionately nick named me, was interested in her son. I kinda flirt with him and he flirts back, we have exchanged pics and he and I e-mail regularly. But that's basically it... well, he was having a rough time lately with finding work and was really close to being totally broke, I felt so sorry for him that I offered to send him money to help him out. Not as a gift but a loan. And today, I went online and was able to find him several job listings that he was eligible for in the city he is in. So I emailed them to him....I don't wanna seem like I am not trying to go overboard, just show him that I care. But then again, he has a girl so he may not even think twice about the things I do to help him. What do you all think about all this? Do guys remember or think about the nice things a girl does for them? What should I do to get him to start "thinking" of me? Thanks for your help..... :)
