Ouch!!! Iam not too sure if there is really anything you can do for a bruise, other than wait for it to heal. I think read somewhere that you should actually GENTLY massage bruises to prevent blood clots or something, but iam not 100% sure so dont quote me on it! Hope it gets better soon! :) ....  |

I'd do that but it is too sore to touch. This is one of the worst bruises I've ever had. I have to go in to the doctor for a check up on Friday morning and I'm thinking about having my Doc look at it (yes, it is that bad). Thanks for your response.  |

get a cold patch to keep the swelling down take Ibuprofen to keep the pain and swelling down if that did not help feel where the bruise ,if you can touch it and pushed down with you're thumb and glide you're palm around it to see,if there is a broken bone or damaged. If,you broke a bone you will not be able to move. There is tendency in our leg that holds us standing,if pain only occurs it will show the difference you will be able to feel it. To heal you're self from a bruise massaged it with baby oil rubbed the oil with you're palm until it warms up and rubbed it on for the next few days. Ice to reduce any swelling, and Witch Hazel. For the pain, I would say take a tylenol, or a an advil.  |

ah, if you had leachs handy you should've applyed those right away, but since I doubt you do, put Deep Cold on it then put a gauze pad over it and tape it in place then apply cold water to it every so often and then softly rub around the bruise, not on it, once it stops hurting as much. Hope you feel better soon!  |
