also must people dont belive this but girls mature wayyyyyy faster than guys, when i was 13 guys thought i was 16 and when i was 16 i was mistaken for 19 and now that i am 18 people think i am 21. not be the way i look but by the way i act. this guy i am kind if dating now is 29 and i am 18 about to be 19 so there is nothing really wrong with it |

i'm not saying that i necessarily agree with young girls dating guys that are MUCH older than them, but the media in particular is very sexist - a younger female is naive and can be deceived by an older man that probably only wants to take advantage of them - but if you ask me that's all untrue!! the media is a big joke! however - i still don't agree with large gaps in age if one of the participants is still a child. *Tears For Bradley* |

First of all, there is nothing wrong with an age difference. But, things need to be taken into consideration, for example, a 12 year old should not be dating a 16 year old. When I was 14, I was dating a 19 years old and six years later we are still together. if certain requirements are met, there is nothing wrong with a large age difference. Girls do mature was faster then guys, I am still noticing that now, after 6 years, he is now 25, I am 20! |

The reason people don't look kindly on this sort of relationship is because of the difference in maturity and intent of the two participents in the relationship. It is presumed that the older guy is looking for sex, while the girl is looking for security, and if it takes giving sex then that is what she will do. Admittedly there are girls who enjoy the physical side, but what parent would think that of their "little girl"?  |

Hmm, thats a tuff one. I dont think little-teens ages 13-15, should go as far as dating someone old. Alot of times w/ younger girls, the old guys are perverts and want one thing, maybe its just my way of thinking, but thats how i see it. Now thats not always the case, but mostly. I think people that are under 17 should stay at a range of 3-4 years apart at the most if they date, but after your 18 or 21, then do what you want, your an adult now, its what makes you happy anyways.

I don't see nothing wrong with it when they become the age of 18 or older, or even if they where 16 and consenting. But younger than that is just like dating a child. Girls should try to get boyfriends there own age for a while. But I grew up with my step dad 3 years younger than my mother's mom. My mother in law was married to a man a few months older than her oldest son. I know people that there is big age differences and they like it that way. Becouse girls usually advance a lot quicker, a older guy is what usually what they need to stimulate there growth. So there is nothing that is really wrong with younger girls dating older guys.  |

It really depends on the age of the individuals. It is not just young girls and older guys, it works both ways. Someone in there mid-twenties or older should not be with a teenager. What could this older person possibly have in common with one so much younger. There is a much bigger difference between a 25 year old and a 15 year old than a 45 and 35 year old. I have never been so happy and neither has he, the way we met was weird! I always say we are soulmates!! Some people are just ment to be! |
