Date: 6/11/2002 10:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    He loves music! That's a good idea. Thanks! Paula
Date: 6/11/2002 11:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 8274    How about a scrap book of his life and his childrens/grandchildrens lives. Something he can look at and enjoy for the rest of his life (c: Good Luck. Peace and Love. P.s. Have little notes from everyone written to him if possible.
Date: 6/12/2002 5:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 27414    If you're that close, then a visit would be in order. Would that make him very happy? It would me!
Date: 6/12/2002 5:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 27414    I mean PERSONALLY close, not distance. Nothing can brighten a Dads' day more than a kid's visitation. And if you have to travel, then it makes it all that much more special.
Date: 6/12/2002 5:32:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    Sigh... I am in Iowa and he in North Carolina. I have seen him more this past year then in prior years because my daughter goes to college in Virginia which is four hours from him. I know that at 82 I need to savor every moment we talk on the phone or can visit because his time on earth won't be much longer. I made him a chart and book once on part of his genealogy and he liked that a lot. A scrap book is a good idea, but due to the short time factor I may have to save that for Christmas. Thanks for the ideas! Hey,Hey,Paula
Date: 6/12/2002 5:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 33925    How about writing him a nice letter, thanking him for being there for you all these years..you know..talk about some of the things he has done for you over the years and how much of an impact he has had on your life..etc..I have a feeling he would love that!
Date: 6/12/2002 7:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 31137    I agree with Lady Luck.
Date: 6/12/2002 12:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 27414    From Iowa huh? Me too. And my mother lives in Las Vegas. She's getting on in years and I really wish I could get to see her too.
Date: 6/12/2002 12:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    Yea I need some ideas on what I could get my dad. Everything that I ever give him, he never likes or uses. All I can think about is getting him a gift certificate to some dinner place. Cause I've already got him a tie for Christmas... ugh...need help here too, lol *PunkStarChikk*
Date: 6/12/2002 5:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53961    My Dad always likes Old Spice. Las Vegas PI? Funny, my daughter's dad lives in Dayton, NV. Small world! Thanks for the ideas ya'll! Hey,Hey,Paula
Date: 6/16/2002 7:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 998    If he has everything he needs, then he also has your love. Make sure he knows the most important reasons why you have always looked up to him and loved him, and he will be the richest man on earth.
