KILL THEM FAST? or LET THEM SUFFER???   Author:  13407  Category:(Discussion) Created:(6/16/2002 6:55:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (339 times) Its time to get into the age old debate of KILLING THEM FAST...or LETTING THEM SUFFER. If you dont know already, I'm talking about the death penelty. Some people say that its right, some say its wrong. A man desides that its time to end his wifes life. He thinks shes cheating on him, so he buys a gun, and shoots his wife right in front of there child. The child is made to watch and suffer through it all. The child is PERMANTLY scarred. But the man is shortly caught. What is the right solution? Should you send him to the chair? Or let him suffer in prison? Some people say that to kill him would be like "Blood for Blood" or "An eye for an eye". And that to kill a man for a mistake is just wrong. He could change and overcome his sickness. Still others say that if you kill you desearve to be killed. If you promote such cruelty then you should have it all done back to you. With two such different ways of thinking, its resonable to see why theres so much debate going on about it. Lets say the same man gets life in jail. And lets say 20 years later he feels like he's paid for his crime and he would like parole. And he gets it. He becomes free to walk the streets. Some say that this is a good thing, that he has paid and he has come out a rehibilitated man. They feel that he has paid for his crime and that he is free to live a NEW life. Well the same man goes out to a bar one night, and after a few drinks picks a fight with a cowboy. He takes a glass bottle and crushes it over the cowboys head, then grabbing a gun, kills the cowboy in cold blood. The cops soon catch him...but now what? Let him roast and finish him off for good? Or give him yet ANOTHER chance? The debate continues. If the man would have been roasted...he wouldnt have killed the cowboy. Thats one way to look at it. Im asking for your opinions.
