I hate this day as well as my father. I'm unable to post my own poem written about him due to the negative words in the poem so I went to Everclear and I'm borrowing their song "Father of Mine". I feel like this song was written for me(except for the whole "boy" thing b/c i am very much a girl) and every year on fathers day or his birthday i listen to this song. so here it is:
father of mine

you know i just closed my eyes
my whole world disappeared

i remember blue skies
walking the block

i loved to hear you talk
you would take me to the movie
