My Very First Ghost Hunt....Last Night!...............Garbage   Author:  24673  Category:(Ghosts) Created:(6/16/2002 8:39:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (719 times) I have been a member of the WV Society of Ghost Hunters for about 6 months now and finally got the chance to go on a real ghost hunt. This happened last evening in a small West Virginia town, first in a newspaper publishing building, which in the 1800's was a bordello and second in a florist shop. My son, Coenlaf (usm, name) and I went into the building with the group and my compass really went crazy in one area and he came to my side and agreed something looked suspicious and told other members. Someone took a digital photo of the spot and a white smokey swirly mass showed up on the print. Other people felt uncomfortable at the spot also. We later heard from the newsman that the person who worked in that area felt that someone/something was behind him at times only to discover that no one was there. Later in the evening we went upstairs and in the first room I felt a tight feeling in my chest and an uneasy feeling. My son felt as though he walked into a hot/humid attic and we later discovered that other people felt the same when they were in that area. In one other room my chest hurt so badly that I wanted to run out, but the leader of the group was talking to us about the plan for the night, so I waited. After talking to others and reading notes, many people got the same feeling in that room. The third room to be "suspicious" felt cold even though it was 3 degrees warmer than the rest of the "hot" upstairs. A young girl stayed in the room when the lights were turned off and she screemed after about 5 minutes, "turn on the lights, turn of the lights", and when the lights were turned on she said someone sat on her legs--remember, she was alone in the room. She did have the good sense to take a photo when she had the feeling and two red orbs showed up on the pix. Other people had little things happen to them and one couple were able to get a digital recording of a man whispering something. It was determined that the building is haunted by different entities. I will write about the flower shop later because this is so long. When we get our film developed, I will let you know if we get any interesting pictures. How it changed my life: It was a great experience and I look forward to doing this again.
