I am sure you can. I am not sure how exactly but I am sure its possible. My brother has the same problem as you. I am the opposite though I have extremely high metabolism, hope you can get this problem solved. |

If you eat on a schedule it should help. Like eat breakfast at 6am everyday, and lunch at 12:30, and dinner at 7. My aunt put herself on a schedule and she lost some weight, not tons, but it worked.  |

walk walk and walk some more and eat BREAKFAST... eat small meals and about six a day....lean proteins and vegetables help speed metabolism...also WATER WATER AND WATER helps move everything through you quicker...fish, dark green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, blueberries and other fruits, whole grains, and at least 8 glasses of water a day.... combined with walking you should increase your metabolism naturally!  |

breakfast is important because when you sleep your metabolism goes into sleep mode too and slows waaaaaay down, by having a meal in the morning it is giving not only fuel to your brain, but is boosting the metabolism into action... each time you eat your metabolism is boosted into action, thus the eating six small meals a day keeps it running at a slightly higher rate, also the water is "digested" which also makes the metabolism work harder... think of it like a garbage disposal, that is automatically triggered when something is put into it.... put ANYTHING in and it starts working, constantly putting a LITTLE into it or water into it keeps it working almost all the time... it automatically works more efficiently when it is being used often, it works slower and not as well when it is only turned on a few times a day... hope that helped :)  |

there is, but i don't know if i'd recommend it to a teenager, because your body is still growing. but caffeine really does speed it up. i drink lots of coffee - lots of it. i also take ginseng. both, speed up the metab. i can eat whatever i want and i don't gain - BUT, if i stop taking my ginseng, or stop drinking the coffee - i gain weight, so i know that has an effect on my metabolism. the reason i said maybe you don't want to try it, is that i have read somewhere i think that caffeine at an early age stunts growth, but that may be an old wives tale. ginseng however, is just a natural thing you can buy at walmart or any store like that. cheap too -  |

exercise and BY all means DO NOT MISS MEALS. If you miss meals your body thinks that its starving and in fact THIS will slow down your metabolism as your body will try to store up fat instead. So even if its just a piece of toast and a glass of juice or coffee, have something in the morning, lunch and supper. IT doesnt have to be real fatting foods. I'm really good at telling ONE how to loose weight. LOL I'm twenty pounds overweight my self, but then I have low thyroid and it goes up and down up and down. One month I can weigh normal and then the next I can gain forty pounds for no reason and no change in habit. Been doing this since I was 17. pain in the butt it is.  |

Maybe they make some sort of weightloss supplement that will boost your metabolism? Also like the others said..exercise is the best..TaeBo gives you a killer work out. If your really into working out try the Tae Bo bootcamp work out..gosh thats the hardest workout ive EVER DONE IN MY LIFE!! :D  |
