Late one night myself,and two of my frends were walking the tracks in a old New England Mill Town,called Pontic Village. It was a very cold brisk night some,at the time I was a 17 year old kid, the time period was January 1967. As we continued walking away from the Mill, and the town of Pontiac, the lights from the city were no longer visible. The night sky was unusualy very clear that night without a trace of one single cloud. As we continued to walk and talk about various things my friend David a lover of Astronomy was panning the night sky and looking at the many of thousands of stars that a person is able to see with the naked eye. All of a sudden he said look,looked up there,I said where? When I said that he grabbed my arm and told me to point with my finger and he would guide it to what he was referring to. When he guided my finger to the upper part of the sky toward the north east I seen a small light that didn't look any different then any other star except this one was moving. From my judgment of observing different things that I see morning till night time I can say without doubt what a commercial airline looks like when its 39,000 feet in the sky and also how long it takes to go from arisen to arisen. I also experianced the wonderful opportunity to see the satalite Sputnic with my father in 1957,and I have seen satalites after that also,so I'm familiar with what they look like when seen at night. What I seen that night did not discribe anything of that nature. Matter of fact this thing was hundreds of miles out in space and from Davids opinion and mind it was coming in at an enormous speed. Has it got closer it got brighter,I would say as bright as Venus. Then for some unknown reason the thing did what I would call a U-TURN and went back out from where it was coming in from. As we watch it go out in space it got smaller and smaller untill it vanished from our sight. Now that I'm at the age of 48 I have gone over this amazing experiance many times in my head and I have come to the conclusion that what we had seen that night was definitely not from this world. It was extraterrestrial of origin and many thousands if not millions of years ahead of us in Technology. For those of you out there that think that it was just merely an incoming meteorite or a comet,I would have to say that it must be somekind of comet or meteorite to come in at that speed then change directions and go back the same way it came in. sorry for the bad grammer,did'nt have time to go over anything.
