I used a bleaching highlight kit so only little pieces of my hair are bleached and I hate the condition it put my hair in. It is very dissatisfying. I wouldn't recommend dying it, but try it if you hate your bleached 'do. - Luv Bug |

I bleach my hair all the time. Then i usually dye it like wacky colors. Right now my hair is teal but bleaching it makes your hair dryes and dameged. What I do for that is use that hair oil for my hair and put it on two times a week. If you dont like it bleaceh then its ok to due it agian. |

If it was truly bleached...then no, it will not fade out. What bleach is, is a chemical stripping solution. It put no color into your hair- just removed the natural pigmentation. Dyes fade, but bleaching does not. Now it CAN dull or yellow or evolve into a brassy tone, but it wont fade. Bleaching can be very harsh on the hair cuticle so I would not recommend using any color with bleach in it and especially not just bleach. If you do put color in your hair- make sure you go darker. Like with a light brown or reddish tint- or even a darker blonde. Anything with more lightening agents could destroy even the healthiest head of hair. Good luck! (And this is coming from someone who has never bleached their hair)! LOL! But I have worked with enough models who have been reduced to tears because of the results in bleach! I have highlighted my hair with half bleach/half dye mixes and that alone did noticalbe damage! I suggest when trying to go lighter, use dyes including bleach. Not just dyes because they dull and not just bleach because it damages. Wow. I cannot believe I knew all that. I AM THE USM BEAUTY PRODUCT GURU! :p |

I have never had my hair died but my friends did and she had to use shampoo that wouldn't let the dye wash out so soon. It has lasted since Febuary! She uses that shampoo and conditioner that won't let the dye com out so easily....well the bottle said 28-35 washes, but her dye has lasted since Febuary! Ask the stylist next time you go or call the salon...LUCK!

Ya might want to give your hair a rest for a while, LoL...by reading your posts about it i wouldnt touch it for a week, even if it does look unnatural...definately condition it for the time being and at least the ends trimmed, they can be the most fried for the time being... |

Helena/Placenta, Hot Oil Treatments, Deep Conditioner, any of these products. Apply any of these products generously to your hair and cover in a shower cap. This alone will improve your hair, but if you want to take it one step further, set your blowdryer to low and blowdry your hair while still wearing the cap. The heat opens the hair cuticle and allows the condioning treatment to be absorbed more and faster. Also, I have tried just about every single brand of shampoo from cheapie grocery store brands to extremely expensive salon brands and I have never found anything better than Tres Semme products. You can find them at your grocery store. Get either Vitamin E or Revitalizing for Damaged hair. Dont get normal or for fine hair. They can dry your hair out even more. Use the shampoo followed by the conditioner. I like to comb my hair while in the shower with a pick and pile my hair on the top of my head in the clip and let the conditioner sit while I soap up, shave or whatever. Then rinse out last thing. I swear those products help detangle and revitalize better than anything else I use. And with dying- yes, it can be easy as doing it yourself at home- just make sure you use a bleach free product! Have you ever soaked rags or wash cloths in a tub of chlorine or bleach to get rid of stains? Ever notice that after a while, the material just falls apart in your hands? Its the bleach! It is a very harsh chemical. Get a good blonde DYE (not bleach). Just out of curiosity...is this the stylist who said "Dont bother me. I know what I am doing. Dont be so scared. I am a professional. You are just the customer!"? hehehe :p I remember, when I was 17 I went in to get my hair that I dyed jet black stripped of all color. I was so afraid the chemicals would be so harsh on my fine hair but the stylist basically told me, in so many words, to shut up and that she was the professional. Sure enough, it trashed my hair and I had to cut my mid-back length hair to right below my ears. *grrrr* |

And no! You are not out of luck! I have TRASHED my hair with all the dying, stripping, straightening, perming, blowdrying, curling ironing, etc but with the right products, it can bounce back in no time (if all the dead ends are cut off- like split or frayed ends). Try using a laminating/shine product on your hair before you blowdry. Dont put it on the roots though because it will make your hair look oily and dirty. Apply it at about the ear to the end. Then a leave in conditioner concentrated at the ends. Blow-dry. It should turn out ok eventually. |
