well savanah...i cant answer your question...I havent paid any attention to those post...I do believe no matter what happens theres always going to be one or another being bashed because you must always believe in the other and if you dont your wrong...Just be true to yourself...and ignore the rest..lol..  |

I am not exactly sure as to what you are refering to, but I am in agreeance that often we as humans contradict ourselves and this even when it comes to "beliefs" is quite normal because we are all able to adapt and change our minds... I am a Christian and in the most literal sense all that means is that I believe in God and that Jesus died for our sins... If I were to take into account all of the "beliefs" that all other Christians of an ordained status said that I was to believe then I would be forced into a state of constant correction cheapening my "belief", If you are wondering whats up with the quotations, I feel obligated to lessen the strength of the word because as already stated people change their minds which is contradictary of the word belief when fundamentally applied to religion... Anyway I wish you all the best and sorry that you are confused as to why so many are "acting against their belief" Take care,  |

It is sad that in a world where Christians try so hard to do and say what is right, others seem to prevail through sin. Author Only: I do understand that christians have bashed other religions, but many posts lately are doing the same thing in reverse..doing exactly what they accuse us of doing. The same thing they have ripped us apart for doing..it goes both ways. Thanks for your response. |

Savanahrose, I have only been on this site for a short period, and I would have to say I have looked up to you and have loved reading your postings and love you reading and replying to mine. I have found you to be honest, caring and loving, in my eyes a true Christian. I struggle with my Christianity daily. I love honour and cherish this God who sacraficed his only son for us. I agree there is a lot of "Christian Bashing." I do go to these posts and try to stay as general as possible so not to heat the argument. I basically back out of a negative post. I understand what you mean though about other forms of religious belief's not being bashed on. I won't mention them but I see that they do the bashing but don't get much back from Christians. It basically boils down to hypocrisy. I hate it when the term "Christian" is loosely thrown around for an excuse to critise any one of any denomination that does something wrong. It gets soooo old! I admit, I have given up defending Christianity, I try only to explain what a true Christian feels and trys to do. I am not perfect and never expect that of others but they seem to expect that from me since I'm Christian. This is the hypocrisy of it all. It's just one more "wall" we have in front of us. One more challenge. This is an excellent post... thanks for writing it! :o)  |

savanna rose.....my dad told me there were a three people that you never wanted to be around.....one that just quit smoking......one that just got divorced......or one that just got religion...... because all three had some thing to either brag about or complain about........it seems religion or politics are subjects that can be heated..... either out of frustration or wanting some one to see what they feel to be truth and gospel from their point of view........  |
