House of the Damned   Author: 56403  Category:(Urban Legends) Created:(6/26/2002 9:24:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (940 times) I don't really know if this is true or not but it's a legend that has ran through my village for years. It seems back in the early 1900's there was an cruel family, the Kiers, that lived in this huge house on the outskirts of the village. They were suspected of killing many of the missing people from the nearby city and neighboring villages but no one had proof that they had anything to do with the crimes till one fateful night. See there was this sweet young girl named Alison (or something like that) that the youngest Kier son had his eyes on. He had tried his hardest to win her heart but she was in love with someone else and had tried to let him down easy. When he found out that her heart belonged to other he and his brothers killed her. Alison's family and friends looked for her for weeks, only finding her pink bow tie that she never took out of her hair. Alison's grandmother was the only one who gave up hope of ever finding her granddaughter alive. She was so angry that the Kier family had killed her only grandchild she went at night to have her revenge. The family soon discovered her in that house and murdered her. As the old woman took her last breath she laid a curse on the whole family. Few months later summer came round. The heat was extreme. Many citizens began to get sick because of a god awful smell that was coming from the Kier's house. So many of the village's men went to check out the old Kier's house. When they opened the door the smell got even stronger. They walked through the house and went into the kitchen. They were greeted by the most grousome sight any of them had ever seen. There along the dining room table sat the Kier's and all the missing people (people the Kier's had killed). All of the dead's eyes were open and looked as if they were staring at each of the Kier's. The Kier's supposely died of fright. According to the elders of the village at the time the curse the old women put on the Kier family was said to bring back the dead to kill their killers. Like I said I don't know if this is true but the house this supposedly did happen in still stands at the edge of the village and it did once belong to a family by the name of the Kier. The legend is real enough to keep people away from the old house.
