A newly married couple, Bill and Joanne, had bought a house in Maine. They disregarded the stories told to them about the house by the realtor. The realtor claimed the house was haunted by an insane serial killer, but Bill and Joanne were not jilted in their decision to move into the house.
Things soon began happening...Joanne told Bill of feelings that "someone" or "something" was touching her at all times in the night frequently, and Bill feeling disturbed by this, resolved to stay up the whole night and see "who" or "what" was doing it.
True to his word, Bill stayed up the whole night. He just didn't stay in the bedroom. Around midnight, he was gripped by the feeling of an overwhelming thirst. He went downstairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Before he could get a glass, he heard blood-curdling screaming from their bedroom. Bill rushed upstairs and was horrified to see Joanne's mutilated corpse, strewn in various places around the bedroom. Bill rushed downstairs and called the police immediately.
Several nights later, Bill was sleeping, not too well, but nonetheless sleeping. Until around midnight. Again feeling very thirsty, he went downstairs and got a glass of water. He came back upstairs and saw what seemed like a lump in the bed. He quickly ripped off the covers and the ghost of Joanne floated up. She had an unholy light in her eyes, and the dark form of another man floated beside her. Gripped in her hand, Joanne held a large, jagged-tooth knife.
"Didn't you promise, Bill? Didn't you promise? 'Till death do we part? Didn't you promise?" Joanne said as she floated towards Bill...he was paralyzed in fear and stood motionless.
Since the house was so far out into the lush country side, no one could hear Bill's horrific cries and screams.
