Nature's gift --iCyFiRe

The silent wind brushes across my face,
as I stare down below, a place that knows no sleep.
Birds chirp peacefully in the distance,
I look across at the mountain so steep.

Crumbling rock beneath my feet,
falls and falls until it hits the ground.
Down where the busy town is,
but they can't hear the soothing sound.

Can they hear the soft tone of the cricket?
or can they hear the mountain's sigh?
Can they walk down the flowing river,
or fall asleep under the great big sky?

These things cannot be found in the city,
that's why this trip to the mountain is such a pleasure.
Nature has to be the most relaxing activity,
that's why it's something that we should all treasure.

These small things are all of nature's gifts,
to keep us alive and passionate on this earth.
It's just that most people don't know it's a gift,
they should take it for all that it's worth.
