Psychic Detective: Case of the lonely doll

My name is Kevin E. Alexandross, I was born with psychic powers, I joined the Psychic Police to polish my skills, I became a detective first class in no time, I travel the world of Eden resolving crimes and paranormal activities. This world is plagued with the everything, ghost, demons vampires, werewolves, evil clowns.... anything that you can imagine, we are the only ones who can solve the mysteries of this world. As you can imagine life here is a never-ending turmoil.

My adventure begins in the town of Lacross, a little hamlet near the great forest of the Elves, in the west part of the continent, there has been many reports of strange noises inside an old mansion and something have been attacking the people at night recently , the mansion of the Mordecai Family. This case doesn’t look important enough, but I certainly needed vacations. One night, long ago the family living on the mansion died in a fire, two adults and a little girl, apparently the butlers were off duty that night. That was the only thing I knew about the case. I arrived at the town, it was a town of farmers, some houses here and there except for the huge mansion. The gate of the town says “ Welcome to Lacross Home of the Corn Dogs” So this is were they come from. Most people at the headquarters believed it was made by the Demons of Goth, in the southern part of the world. The people closed their windows as the carriage passed through the street, I ignored that and concentrated my view on some kids playing in the street and a little girl in red playing with a doll, she looked somewhat pale, the carriage stopped at the town’s inn called “Momo’s Place”. As I entered the inn, with that name I was expecting a ugly fifty years old woman, with an ugly wart, and an ever ugly voice but I was surprised that it was a beautiful woman with no least than twenty years old, green eyes and a beautiful smile.

Momo: Hello, I am Momo keeper of this inn.

Kevin: My name is Kevin, detective of the Psychic Police. I came here to investigate the Mordecai mansion.

Momo: Oh yeah, the mansion, weird things happen there at night, red eyes seeing you trough the windows, voices, and screams. Nobody in town is brave enough to enter.

Kevin: ( Oh perfect, just what I needed, a real case, goodbye to vacations I just hope these are jokes from the Mystics or those mischievous Gremlins) Don’t worry ma’am, nothing scare me, I will resolve this in less than five years.

She began to laugh, I asked for a room, the reception was a little dusty, there were some tables in a room and some people eating, they looked at me like a troublemaker.



I sensed that Momo,was very sad, maybe someone close to her died recently.

I grabbed the keys while Momo was still laughing and went to my room, one of the few persons on this world who would laugh at my jokes, I opened the door thrown my bags to the floor, took my clhotes off and went straight to bed, and quickly fell asleep.I was very tired from the trip.

I waked by the rays of the sun, I looked trough the window and it was a beautiful sight, the mountain reflected on the nearby lake, the fairies picking berries at the distance, suddenly I heard on my mind a woman and some people of the village that were passing by on the street, “ That man must be a sexual pervert, maybe he’s trying to seduce me” I quickly searched for the woman, she and some of the villagers were looking at me, I forgot to put my pants, I was completely naked. I stepped out of the window, Oh the shame, I put my clothes on and went downstair for breakfast, this was gonna be a very long day.

I was walking down the stairs, and the smell of Muchu-Muchu eggs invaded my nostrils, my stomach grumbled, I sat on one table and Momo walked in, she was more gorgeous than the day before.

Momo: What can I serve you Kevin? Kevin: Muchu- Muchu eggs, blue bread, ant bacon and some white coffee.

Momo left the room and I began thinking where will I’ll go, Will I began with the case or Will go to the lake and spend the day there?

Momo entered the room with everything.

Momo :The people is anxious waiting that you resolve the case.

Kevin : (Oh well, vacation will have to wait a little longer).What do you know about the mansion?

Momo : Not much, a family died burned there some people says it was the curse of a witch.

Kevin : A witch.....interesting.

I was gonna ask Momo some more question but a fat guy appeared greeting me and introduced himself, it was the mayor Brad Winchester, I introduced myself and Momo left the room.

Mayor Winchester: Thank’s for coming in such small time, all the town is excited by your arrival, when are you going to start your investigation?

Kevin: As soon as I finish my breakfast.

Mayor: Good, good I will not bother you, goodbye.

Kevin: Goodbye Mayor.

I could sense some fear and doubt on the mayor, maybe he thinks that I will run away.
