It's too "Hot in Herre" for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Nelly's latest,"Nellyville," managed to lock down the No. 1 spot on the music charts for the third week in a row according to SoundScan figures released Wednesday "Nellyville" sold 340,000 copies.
In the record-making file, Nelly's "Hot in Herre" scored the highest audience ever for any song in a one-week period on Billboards Hot 100 Singles Chart. The song has also received more air play than any other song in the history of the Billboard's rap and mainstream R&B charts.
Red Hot Chili Peppers rolled out into second place, selling 282,000 copies of "By the Way" Though they didn't become chart kings in the United States, Anthony Kiedis and company debuted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia and Norway.
