I'm 24 (25 in August), and me and my brothers are 3, 6, 9. What I mean by that is that we are all 3 years apart in age. So in my household there are me, my mom and my two brothers who are 22 (just today), and 19. I think honestly we should all be out of the house by now, but that is not the reason for this post. The reason is, my mom's wish "sorta" came true tonight. My brothers and I, although living in the same household have not exchanged words in YEARS! That's right you read right, YEARS. My brother's love each other and have a healthy loving relationship, but as far as I go, they hate me, can't stand me. They love to pick at all the bad things I have done in my life, even though they were done almost 5 years ago. Today was a very strange night because my brother Jeff, got a girlfriend, and I love it when he has a girlfriend, because although he doesn't talk to me, he at least doesn't talk about me to my mother, which is so juvenile and annoying. Well anyways it was his birthday today and he wanted to have a "family" dinner, oh it was just weird. I already told my mom ahead of time, that I'm not going to pretend. His girlfriend was really nice, and he was acting all fake, but I let him have his moment, you know. My mom's dying wish, and she prays for us to do it, is to talk to each other and treat each other nice. So that's my weird night, eating dinner and sort of talking to my brothers and vice versa. Jessica, his girlfriend was nice, and she's been pressing him to treat me nice, because it is important to her. I don't know if any of you have inner family problems like I do, but for my mom, she was so excited, wait to you see my next post about what happened at 6am in the morning! exciting! I'm going to write it after I submit this one! B.Monkey13 How it changed my life: I don't know if this is a step forward or not, but hopefully we'll be a healthy loving family again someday, we don't even put the FUN in dysfunctional anymore.
