In the kitchen we have those vertical blinds covering the sliding glass window. I went to bed at 4am, and at 6am I heard, the blinds shifting. It couldn't of been possible, the ceiling fan in the kitchen was not on, so why was the blinds moving around? I didn't think much of it, I decided to go upstairs and use the bathroom. So I'm in the bathroom, and outside the door I hear a noise of something brushing up against the wall, I opened up the door and it was a bird! I screamed, a slat has fallen from the attic fan and this bird had flew down from it. I screamed again because it came towards me and I ran into my mom's room, who was already up because of the scream, I told her what was up, and she saw it in the kitchen.
Don't laugh, but we were both afraid of going down the stairs to open the door to let the bird out, I finally garnered up some courage, grabbed a pillow (remember now, don't laugh!) and used it as a makeshift shield and with a motion, turned on the lights, ran to the front door and waited for the bird to fly outside, nothing happened. I finally came inside, and didn't hear anything? What was going on? I looked at the blinds and there was a black rat, but rats can't fly...It was a bat!!! I couldn't believe it! He was just there, did I scare him Pauly Shore style, like he gave that turkey a heart attack in Son-In-Law? I was about to sweep him outside when I remembered that the turkey in Son-In-Law woke up and acted all goofy.
My brother has a dart gun, and he came and killed it. When I called my boyfriend to tell him about it, he was so furious with me. He said I should of just threw a towel on him and gently throw him outside. He was really really mad. Said it was a bad thing that I did. We did call animal control, but they wanted to charge $50, we couldn't afford that. Well that was my adventure for the day-well if you read my last post, my "dinner" was one too.
Oh something funny too, Buddy my bad dog, who loves to catch squirells, rats and birds outside and kill them, we brought him in to help with the bat, that dog looked at us like, "are you kidding me?!" I guess you had to be there to see that look, it was priceless, that dog ran on outside! B.Monkey13
