I had to rush my 4 year old daughter Haley to the hospital last night because she was having severe stomach pains. They were really bad, to where she was crying, screaming, tellng me to take her to the hospital because it hurt her too bad. She couldn't stand up or lay down. She would just roll all over the bed, and the floor. Anytime we asked her where it hurt, she always pointed to her lower left side, in the same spot. She was crying so bad. I was freaking out because I've never seen my daughter act like this before. So I rushed her to the hospital. When I got to the hospital and the nurse was checking her vitals and temperature, the nurse tried to tell me that is what just a gas bubble in her tummy and if I gave her some coke or something with carbonation in it, it would help her out and then she woudn't have to be seen. I didn't try it because I knew something was really wrong. When we fianlly got to see the doctor, he ordered some xrays, blood test, and a urine sample cuz he was worried about her. She did all the tests, she didn't even cry when they drew blood. Well the doctor came and told us that its a viral infection and to take her home, but the way he looked and sounded, I thought there was something else wrong that he just didn't want to tell me. He also said that if the pain increases or her fever got higher then 101, to bring her back in. Well about an hour after I brought her home from the hospital, she started having her pains and crying again. She didn this all night long, about every 2 hours. She'd fall asleep after about 2 minutes of her pains, but it would happen about every 2 hours. She didn't get much sleep at all last night. So this morning, she still wasn't acting right, so I called her pediatrician to get her checked again because Haley wasn't acting herself. So when we got the doctor and the doctor checked her ears, she found an ear infection, that they totally missed at the hospital. So her pediatrician called the hospital to get her test results from last night to see check herself to see if they missed anything else. I gotta call the pediatrician in the morning to see what she thinks of the test results. I'm so worried about my daughter. I've never seen her act like this before. She's had viral infections and stomach flu before, but she never had the severe pains like she's got now. She doesn't have an appetite, she hasn't ate anything since Tuesday evening. All she wants to drink is juice and water. She still has a fever and it hasn't broke yet. I think its her appendix. I pray that its not because I don't think I could handle my daughter having surgery. I just want everyone to have my daughter in their thoughts and prayers that she's ok. HayKory22 ***UPDATE*** Haley's pediatrician called with the test results. Everything came back normal. So she's got a bad viral infection and a ear infection. My daughter started her antibiotics this morning and they've helped her out alot. She's almost back to normal. Her fever as also broke. She's eating everything in sight and she's wanting to go outside and play. So she's feeling alot better. I just want to thank everyone who prayed for my daughter. You guys helped out alot. Hugs to you all!!!!! HayKory22 ***UPDATE #2*** Just when I think everything was good, I had to take my daughter back to the Emergency Room again this afternoon. It all started around Saturday morning around 6am. She woke up screaming in the same sromach pains that she was having Wednesday night. She's sleep a couple of hours and she's wake up with the stomach pains again. Her fever came back to around 102 and she had no energy. All she did today was lay around on the couch and my bed. She had one energy spirt of around 15 minutes and she was down again. So I took her in to get checked out because Haley's doctor said if she got worse to take her in. So after 5 1/2 hours of waiting, got 2 Xrays done, and a urine samble, the doctors came and told me that my daughter has a gas bubble and to just let it go and it'll go away. I'm really upset now because I've never had a gas bubble be that painful to me. The doctor also said that if she starts having the pains again or all she wants to do is lay around and not do anything, to bring her back to the ER. I'm so upset because I don't know if there's really something wrong with my daughter that they're not telling me or they're not doing their job right to find something. Another thing that stroke me a weird is that the doctor we saw tonight didn't say anything about Haley having a viral infection. So if she's still not feeling good tomorrow, I'm going to take her to Riley Hospital for Children up in downtown Indianapolis to get checked out. Maybe they'll be able to help her better then the hospital I've been dealing with. So I hope everyone will say a little prayer for my baby girl. Hugs to you all!!!
