Don't you just hate it when it comes to love and your mind and heart are both pulling you in 2 different directions??? A lot of times we want to follow our heart and we always should but our mind can play games on us. This poem shows just that so I though I'd share it.
HEART:I love him and he loves me.
MIND:Becareful...he may not be what he seems to be.
HEART:He is my dream come true.
MIND:But you still cry at night, don't you?
HEART:I cry because I long for his touch.
MIND:Maybe the tears are from being alone so much.
HEART:He is doing what he can to be by my side.
MIND:What will you do if it turns out to be a lie?
HEART:He would never lie to me...he does love me, you know.
MIND:You have been lied to before by others, isn't this so?
HEART:He would never hurt me in a million years.
MIND:Okay...I guess that's the reason for all your tears.
HEART:I told you I just need him here with me.
MIND:Your heart will be broken just wait and see.
HEART:Why should I turn away from a love like this?
MIND:Do you really think you will feel his kiss?
HEART:I will feel forever when I am finally in his arms.
MIND:I think his intent is to do you harm.
HEART:What makes you think you know so much.
MIND:I have seen what you've been through, all the pain and such.
HEART:So...you think I should shun love away the rest of my life?
MIND:At least you wouldn't go through so much strife.
HEART:Well...I know this man loves me with all of his heart, and I know when we are together we will never part. He is the one that will make all of my dreams come true. Why should I listen to words from the likes of you?
MIND:.............
HEART:Speechless??? Well it's about time. Looks like I won this battle between Heart Vs. Mind. I know in my heart that he truly loves me and together forever is where we will be.
