I read a story called "Pennies From Heaven" about a man who would pick up pennies he found on the ground and save them in a jar and when the jar was full he donated it to his church because the pennies were considered to have fallen from heaven. Beautiful story. But me? My pennies are lying all over the place, lol.  |

I have 3 penny stories, just a forewarning, here's the first......This is true now, I am a descendant of Benjamin Franklin (my poor cousin Sallie, her middle name is Franklin because of it!). Benjamin Franklin coined (get it coined?!!) the phrase, "A Penny Saved is Penny earned." receives pennies to this day on his grave in Pennsylvania near the mint. B.Monkey13  |

Penny Story #2. My uncle is rich and I live in GA and he lives in AZ, he once sent me a big box full of pennies because he knows that I like to count and roll pennies. It was $23 and some change's worth of pennies! It was a fun Christmas for me! B.Monkey13 |

Penny Story #3 I used to be an art major, and one of the projects in my class was that we had to use the same thing over and over again and make a sculpture out of it. For instance a house made out of triscuit crackers an so on and so forth. Well I submitted 2, one was made out of dog food!!! and the other was out of pennies, lots of fun with the hot glue gun! Then I dyed the pennies silver, and the dog food green. B.Monkey13 |

Hi MG..I save mine all year and I take them to the family reunion.Everyone attempts to guess the amount of pennies and whoever comes closest goes home with a large amount of pennies. The hard part is counting them just before the reunion. :)  |

I throw them in a jar as well. I do this with all of my loose change. The pennies go into a seperate jar, though. Regular change here adds up quickly because we have both one and two dollar coins...  |

I have them in a big water bottle and they are added to every day. They are a part of my sons "car fund" I am interested as to how many we save for him by the time he reaches 16, he is 11 now.  |
