Ramble Ramble Ramble

There isn't a "Ramblings" catagory in the list, so i thought somthing with the word general in it would be my best bet. :). I have been on USM for a few months now, i think about 4. And i can't think of a single thing to write a post about. every once in awhile i have a song stuck in my head and i want to post it, and once i wrote a poem sitting at my computer at 3 in the morning (its not really good...i was tired :>, but other then that, im not doing so well. I mean, what are the chances this will even be aloud to stay up? theres no real point to it, its just rambling. Does anyone out there like good music? like Ani Difranco? ever heard of her? she's amazing. How about Our Lady Peace? there getting popular again. you have probably heard there latest on the radio. but do you know of there older things? How about books? who likes to read? any good books you could suggest? or perhaps would like to talk about? im fishing for conversation topics here....is there anything intelligent anyone wants to discuss? Send me a message, or reply to this post! i wanna talk about something interesting. lets go people!

Books...I love to read, especially horror and suspense novels written by Stephen King ( all his books are great) and Dean Koontz ( all his books are great, too). :)
Date: 7/20/2002 8:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 47166    Read "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" by the late Ken Kessey. You souldn't be dissapointed.

Date: 7/20/2002 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 11528    Hi Lost Boy. Maybe You are just having a writers block due to new surroundings. Try just replying to other peoples stories and let Your creative juices work off of that. We all have to start somewhere. I remember when I came here I wanted to post the perfect story and ran into too much self criticsm. I couldnt think of something to post for fear it would be not interesting to the people. Once You start with the comments You will be surprised at how many different story topics pop into Your head. Good luck and Welcome to USM. Have fun. Bye for now. Enki
Date: 7/20/2002 8:44:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53182    Im not a big Dean fan. he's books always seemed like he was being paid to be good, and he knew about it . King is great, but i don't dig alot of his new stuff. Carrie is amazing, though. and the talisman is on my top five best books of all time. peter struab helped him out on that one, and hes amazing too. im not a big POD fan, and i don't know much of the christian underground, so i can't really talk there. but i do know this band on a christian label called project 86 that are rad as anything. :) -the lost boy
Date: 7/20/2002 8:45:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53182    thank you enki! and cherry starz, you havn't read the book? -the lost boy
Date: 7/20/2002 8:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 4839    Lol, alright. Dean Koontz wrote a really good book , I thought called 'Tick Tock'. I liked that one the best. I like a lot of the older rock songs , too. I think that with christian music you get the best of both worlds ( the hard music with God mixed in). Well, what do you like?
Date: 7/20/2002 8:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 4839    No, I haven't read the book...I've seen the play , though. Very good. :)
Date: 7/20/2002 8:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 51049    There's a book called The Lost Boy, I thought it was good. If you think about reading it, you should read a Child Called It, because the Lost Boy is the sequel. If your interested that is. :D
Date: 7/20/2002 8:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 31048    Read the book Hard Love by Ellen Wittlinger...I love that book! It talks about Ani Difranco in there too :D
Date: 7/20/2002 8:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 53182    actully, i really hated tick tock! :) it seemed like he rushed the ending, and it was anti climactic. oh well, to each his own. I'm not christian, but as i said, i do love project 86. i like any kind of music really. rap is the only exception. i sorta don't think its really music. hehe. other then that, folk, rock, country, alternitive, punk....i like alot of local rock stuff, like in DC and annapolis. Ani DiFranco, as meantioned above, is a folk singer, and in my personal favorite singer ever. she is really amazing. I also love Our Lady Peace, Goldfinger, Setback, Incubus, Boa, Industry overflow....you prob. havn't heard of alot of these bands alot of them are local....but yeah. hehe. -the lost boy
