Any Stomach Exercises? -Running Wolf-

I still have some baby fat on my stomach and I was wondering if anyone knew some good exercises, stretches or products that will help me lose it and maybe tone me up. Do just regular sit-ups and crunches work or do I need to do more? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks alot!

Date: 7/29/2002 6:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 49091    Sits up and crunches do work, but not like 10 of tem a day will. I am 13 and do 50 crunches and 50 sit up a night and 40 leg lifts. I have noticed a great improvement, i have started to notice my stomach getting smaller and flater and my legs a bit smaller. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone but It has been working for me. Good Luck.
Date: 7/29/2002 6:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    try your sit ups and stomach crunches but also do squat kicks. You have to squat and then do a kick when you get back up to a straight position. Don't buy any of those gadgets from infomercials because they are only good for maintaining your ideal shape not getting there.
Date: 7/29/2002 6:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 58845    If you just really want to get rid of the fat, then you need to do cardio like running and a low-fat diet...but if its just baby fat then you probably dont want to cut too many calories, as well as stomache exercises if you want more tone and definition for you abs...go to www.practicalweightloss.com for some good advise its free and you dont have to sign up or anything just go to the discussion board

Date: 7/29/2002 7:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 6860    I absolutly hate running, but I do like to walk and ride my bike. Will that help at all?
Date: 7/29/2002 7:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 3321    Power walking is just as good if not better than running...it will melt the fat away. And as for toning...well, I do the Winsor Pilates videos and those are great. The ab one...you can really feel that one when you're done.
Date: 7/29/2002 7:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 59673    try jumping on a trampoline a lot. and doing lots of flips. that always worked for me. it got my stomach really strong too.
Date: 7/29/2002 7:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    firstly, doing stomach exercises and crunches will only strengthen the actual muscles behind the flab on your tummy ~ this is good, but you actually need to lose the fat on you stomach first to see the benefits. Make sure you eat a diet low in sugar and fat and do regular cardio workouts, such as jogging, aerobics, cycling, etc. Anything that raises your heart rate, leaves you slightly breathless (but able to hold a conversation) and causes you to sweat. You need to do this for atleast 30 mins, 3 times a week. As for actual stomach exercises, try typing it into the search engine and you should come across some sites that actually show you how to do it. Good luck
Date: 7/30/2002 10:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 19625    I know of a bunch of Stomach exerscises that my dad learned in the Army, like, lol, the Dying Cockroach (oddly named but it fits lol) it's where you lay on your back and stick your arms and legs straight up in the air and rock back in forth, and repeat over and over "I am a Dying Cockroach"... lol, and there's always leglifts, sit-ups, crunches, and all the other old stand-bys. Good-Luck. Erin-

It gives you such an awesome work out and it strenghtens your entire body. Its a really fun work out and It gets your heart pumping!
