It was such a tiring day.......get up at 6 AM get the kids ready for school, get ready for work, make sure they all had their breakfast washed dressed, book bags, take them to school, go to work, pick the kids up, go to dr.s appointment, make supper, clean up supper, do home work with the kids, take my daughter to cheerleading, babysit the neighbors kids for a bit, clean up again, give the kids a bath, make sure they brush their teeth read a story, and than the countless time of hearing mom, mom, mom......you know how it goes...a rather full day and week I just had........finally everyone iss all tucked in snug as bugs......looking so innocent, yet they tire ya out like you wouldnt beleive.....moving from the moment the alarm goes off till after bed time......finally a break from it all, time to yourself.......I walked into the kitchen and poured myself a cold drink.I havent really had a chance to sit all day.....I walked over to the door looking out the back yard, and peered out at the sleeping world.......it seemed peaceful out there so I went out onto the back porch and sat down on the back step........it was so peaceful...the wind blew softly across my face, the trees swayed in the gentle breeze.....clouds like cotton candy sparsly floated by.....mostly it was like a diamond mine in the sky......I sat there picking out the constelations, I could see orion, the big dipper, the little dipper......they sparkled so brightly above me......I could see the outline of the mountain sides that surrounded me.......the tree topsshadowed over me as the moon peered over the horizon.A full moon bright red oramge sailed in the darkness behind the trees as they danced in the wind.At first it was an orange red glow peeking thru here and there kind of a halloweenish effect, darkness before the light, shadows weaving back and forth.In the distance I could hear the sounds of cars and truck going about thei business faintly.....Mostly all I can hear were the songs of crickets....they sang in the bush hidden from the worlds veiw......they sang with the babbling brook snaking its way beneath the trees.the wind played over the bows and leaves as it it were playing a violin...I can smell the sweetness of the night you can almost taste the greeness of the grass.....the flowers were like a soft perfume just sprayed upon my neck......the air was rather humid, and gave my vision of the world an almost dream like quality.A light haze hovered above the ground leaving tiny drops of water on each blade of grass, as if heaven had plucked the rainbow out of the sky, and placed it about my feet......I ran my feet over the green carpet feeling the earth beneth them.......one moment felt like forever sitting there watching what most people would nothing......as the moon came over the tree tops, I noticed a small spider web between the limbs of the tree..it glistened in the midnight sun like a map of the stars weaving about, bouncing in the wind.......if only there were someone here to share it with......... and than I heard the door open........ Hey what are you doing out here alone he said.... nothing looking...... what are you looking at he asked in his sweet soft voice..... the world...... the world....he said with a sly smile, and opened the door......well would you like me to show you world from my eyes.....? .....he walked out onto the porch with a blanket in hand.he bent down by me and gave me a small kiss on my forehead.come on with me...... he walked out into the dark back yard with the blanket and spread it out....the moon was finally over the trees, taking its place among the stars finally......the wind blew thru his short hair and the nightlight above sparkeled in his eye......he sat down on the blanket and took my hand.....come here.I sat down by him.....and he just held my chin and said I missed ya while I was at work today.....and when I was coming home I thought of you....it was so beautiful watching the sunset, I could almost imagine you sitting out here watching, as if you were with me......when I realized you were out here I thought....lets watch together...he put his arm around me and we laid back.....we talked about our day and held hands feeling the wind blow across our faces, and smelled the color green.......... he looked over at me and said, thats a nice perfume your wearing, like soft flowers, I looked at him nad laughed, it is flowers you smell not me I said.....he smiled looking into my eyes.....it is you, my flower.......... so we just laid there under the ship of stars sailing by the moon their captain.....seeing the world as we saw it together........the small things in life are great, a memory forever a photo only we share.I couldnt ask for more then to have someone share moments like this with......sitting thru the night watching the stars......nothing else than holding hands and talking....staring into each others eyes......things like this hold you together.......perfect..... small...... moments.....last forever..........how can I take something like this for granted? romance at its best and purest form.....I love moments like this....... the smallest things in life are greatest...........
