hey everyone, i just watched a disturbing documentary on the discovery channel on the exorcist...it was horrible...i never realized it was based on a true story...they interviewed all the priest who did the exorcisms...the story happened in 1949.... it was originally a 13 yr old boy who was possessed...he used to play with the ouija with his aunt who was into the paranormal....she then died and he took her ouija and played with it himself trying to contact her spirit...but they say thats when he became as his parents described as possessed.....things would move in their house and objects floating in the house....his parents said he wasn't himself anymore..he was talking in a strange voice they said was not his own, kept to himself, and started developing strange markings on his chest like they were written from the insde out..scabs would form after the writings....the boy kept saying how painful they were...the town priest didn't believe supernatural things were really happening, but maybe the boy was causing these things in himself with his doings....so the priest took the boy in his own home to monitor him....he described things flying through the air, the boy was sleeping on the floor and all of a sudden he would slide across the floor with his blankets...the priest said he felt evil where ever the boy was...he then said the boy did need a exorcism... they contacted a priest who was very young and just out of the priest hood only a few years...he tried to perform an exorcism....he said the boy was soo strong they had to tie his hands to the bed...he was shouting out profanity in a deep voice they described as demonic...the markings then developed all over his body.....one hand of the boy got loose and he was able to grab a spring from his bed and slit the priest from his arm to his hand...after that the young priest thought it would be better if someone more experienced in exorcism became involved.... his parents continued to see strange writings on his chest... one day written in his own blood, it said st louis...his mom said maybe it means we need to go back home to st louis, and suddenly a yes was written on his chest....his parents didn't know what else to do so they all moved to st louis and contacted a priest who was well experienced in exorcisms....this priests had written the daily diaries of everything that happened in st louis durning the demonic possessions and exorcisms...he witnessed the boys bed floating, holy water flyng accross the room hitting the wall, a demonic voice saying " do you think you can fight me"...this went on for months and months...the priest decided it would be best if the boy would be baptized in the catholic church and become a catholIc....( remember i am saying exactly what the documentary stated, so i don't want to offend any athiest or other religions) they said as they were driving to the church the boy was grabbing the wheel trying to run the car off the road...in his demonic voice he said " do you think being baptized will stop me"....they finally got him to the church and it took many men to hold him down during the baptism... they said several times the demonic voice inside the boy would shout "no" to everything...then the boy finally was able to fight and speak "yes" to all the questions.. it still took many exorcisms to finally fight the devil out of the boy....finally the tail end of the story... again all the priest there were the ones telling the story... they said again they proceeded with the last exorcism...this time they said they used an old prayer from st michael....and they got a statue of st michael...as they were doing the exorcism the devil was spitting at them, moving the bed, strong profanity...they said obviously the devil was not happy with this exorcism...again in a demonic voice he was saying the boy was his and they would not defeat him...finally the last part of a prayer from st michael, the boy sat up and said, "hes gone, hes completely gone"...the boy said he remembered nothing about what happened to him except for one vision he had....he stated when he woke up from whatever happened to him, all he saw was a vision of st michael fighting the devil above him...the priest who were there stated they saw the same thing, and seen it later in the church above the alter, st michael defeating the devil....based on the diaries of the a priest, it was made ino a movie called the exorcist....with the exception they used a 13 yr old girl.. i just thought it would be interestng for those who didn't know the exorcist was based n a true story...i didn't...again, i don't want to offend anyone but this was based on the documentary on the discovery channel....you'll have to take it up with them if you don't like this...i'm just stating the facts... ANGELINESHEART:) How it changed my life:i always hated that movie because it terrified me...i only watched it once and never again...
