It was back in about '78, and I was a patient in a Ward in a Veteran's hospital. I was there primarily to got rid of a phenobarbitol (nasty stuff)addiction, and as a demonstration to my relatives that I was trying to better my life. This was a psych ward that was treating veterans for various mental or emotional issues.
One of the young veterans was a young man from Seattle's China town by the name of Vince T. He was very quiet and came and went around like a ghost. At least in retrospect it seems to me that Vince was very troubled in some unknown way.
Vince never left the ward alive, as it turns out. One day the word got around the ward...and was later verified in our therapy group...that Vince had gone to the laundry room and hanged himself.
Vincent T.
