I try to still, Take a break from all this stress. Jittery, Like I drank too much coffee. Motion slows, As if it were to mean something. Why can't I relax? Just breathe, And go to sleep. A week now has gone by, And I remain on the edge of the seat. Nerves rage, And whisper softly the secrets. I can't hear- Speak a little louder. Tell me more- I need to know what's wrong with me. Kicking the habit- Ain't that the truth. I demand so much, Because I am so weak. I fear the future, And what it may hold. Just tell me why I can't relax.
