He never said that he was a god. But he managed to imply that he was more then a man. Which is perfectly understandable, as he was trying to overthrow a corrupt Religious system. I think that being a Christian would be great, if it was the original concept of following the teachings of Christ rather then placing him on a alter and worshipping him. |

Even more so back then when there was only the word of mouth to spread things around. Also the Bible was written long after Jesus died. There was probably a hundred years before someone went "Hmm, maybe I should write this down" |

No none at all. Some of the other God/Men of that era were also supposed to return to earth one day as well. It seemed to be the fad at that time and the Romans wanted to outdo all the others. I think we have a better chance of seeing the Sumerian Beings/Aliens returning than jesus returning although that could be up to 1,400 years away yet. At least they left some hard science behind that we have verified in the just ended century, stuff like Pluto, Uranus and Neptune, stuff that could have only been known by beings who actually saw them. The Jews are waiting for their Messiah, Christians wait for Jesus, many other cultures wait for their deity or whatever to return. First of all, why in heck would they want to come back here???? We have to be close, if not, the most uncivilized people in the universe. I think the sun will burn out before we have visitors of a godly sense. But then again, maybe we will be lucky and one of them will come back soon and rid us of all of the misery...who knows?  |

Yes! In Matthew 24 Jesus says "...there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." While famines can be caused by political struggles (see Ethiopia), and pestilences are usualy driven by behavior (see the spread of AIDS and other STD's), EARTHQUAKES are not caused by nor manipulated by human efforts. Since 1948, the number of earthquakes 6.0 or above has increased from 3 PER DECADE worldwide (1948-1958) to 5 PER YEAR worldwide. Coincidence that this began the same year Israel was recreated (another event the Bible predicted, and that had never occured in history before - the reformation of an extinct nation after 5 generations)? the truth is there is NO truth .... i mean actual proof .... in my opinion there is more truth in the theory of evolution than there is that Christ actually existed as defined in a biblical sense or will return for that matter .... however my heart and my soul KNOW otherwise ... that I cant proove to anyone else, for my truth is exactly that MINE!  |

I cannot prove this to anyone's satisfaction and I only know what is being received today from those who occupy the other world..... but they say that Jesus will NOT return to the earth again. Yes, I believe too that Jesus is an ascended Master and that He is NOT God.  |

Danie, While I agree with you that the most important and most certain proof is the conviction of the Holy Spirit that has been placed on our hearts, for non-believers there is ample proof of the truth of the Bible and the prophesies contained therein. After all, Paul and the Apostles preached a risen Savior based on an empty tomb. If someone didn't believe the tomb was empty Paul and Co. could take them to it. That is proof. Now, one can argue "Why didn't God make the proof easier to find." Most of the time that arguement is nothing but a copout for not looking for the proof, but sometimes it's not. It is for those non-believers that are earnestly looking for an answer that WE should point out things like the earthquake issue - it is the outward evidence of what you and I KNOW on the inside. The germans report over 700 natural disasters alone, it has tripled. Sea levels have risen 9 inches in the past centruy . Drought is causing many to become hungry as the lack of food grows daily. Rio declares war on dengue fever, Killer flu threatens millions in Europe. There are many things that God said would happen and that are happening now. Things He said in the past would happen and has happened, check out VERTS post. CHECK out RUSURES post. All other prophecy has been fullfilled with more to be, I have no reason not to believe that this will also be fullfilled.  |

Author, but the evidence you look for has to match what the Bible says is going to happen. How else can you determine if Jesus is returning if the list of events that predict his coming are catalogued there in the Bible, but you don't take note of them? -- and a minor point as to bias. The Scriptures are no more biased than any other non-fiction book; they are trying to convince you that what they say is correct, just as Julius Caesar did in his Histories, Josephus did in his Histories, and as any other non-fiction writer before or since has done. While many are tempted to do so (since the Bible does make extraordinary claims) to say the Bible is biased is to set a different standard for it than you give any other written material. To set a "special" standard means there is no gauge to measure its truthfulness by. Peace, Tom |

That will be their proof..I wonder why the proof for Jesus, the Bible, God,etc is demanded by soo many, but these very people so easily believe in fairy tales, mythicals gods/goddess.. Where's the proof?? Let's compare these mythical gods to the one God who claims to be the ONE and ONLY Creator..Let's see what is more logical..Let's see what makes more sense..Let's compare the claimed miracles of each god and God..  |

Even though, when whats written in revelations unfolds on this earth, I think people will still continue to Lean away and claim the bibles Consitancy with its predictions and reality were all flukes. Take two nights out of your life and read that chapter. See what was written thousands of years ago... Its just starting to unfold as it is written in the bible, Wars, Famine, Epedemics and such. Its not a very long chapter, its written in many riddles, but I still suggest you read, its like no other book -honeysoul |

Perhaps you should rethink a few things..Which one of your many gods supposedly created this universe and all that is in it?? Last I heard, it just happened according to some of the Greek myths..Ohh..Was it Gaia who was married to her own son that created this earth?..Perhaps the human race really did sprang forth from the stones,trees,and water,while the gods played in the heavens committing violent acts,incest,child abuse,murdering one another,etc. Maybe the goddess Aurora was the mother of Lucifer and maybe our dew drops came about because Aurora mourned the death of her son Memnon and her tear drops are the dew drops?..Perhaps one of the Roman gods created this universe? Maybe even a Norse gods? Can you prove to me which tale is the truth? |
