well think of it this way. my parents smoke. they tried quitting 6 times and didnt have the nerve to stop. they are Really never gonna stop, i think. they dont have the heart. so do u think it's fair that in my case they told me not to smoke? i think in this case it slips off the statement you are trying to say. like if they say a naughty word and then i do there like JACLYN! what? u just said it. it gets annoying. wfp  |

I agree with mrs Strider... Everyones human, you can only expect so much of a person.. no one is perfect, but as for your parents, they love you, and out of love they want the best for you, They may not be good role models, but usually from knowledge and Experiance they have learnt good from bad, and through knowledge they want to teach you, nobody wants to see theyre Kids learnin the hard way.. so yeh i guess just be a good kid and listen to what they say  |

ya know I love my parents dearly!! They invested alot of time & money in me as I was growing up!! No one is perfect & parents are human & make mistakes! It's how you work through those mistakes that count! Your only gonna have a real mom & dad once in your lifetime! Something could happen to take them away in a second forever! So love them even with their mistakes!! They aren't perfect & nither are you! |

I know there are some things that obviously due to age, they may be able to do that you cannot and that's a bit different. I'm sure they are only telling you this out of love but yes, there's a bit of hypocrisy in this quote. :O) |
