A lady at work was telling me this story, and I just had to pass it on. As some background info....Jenny is in her mid-fifties.
Jenny was waiting on the street corner waiting to cross the intersection. She noticed a young girl about 8 or 9 years old, playing nearby. The girl was very pretty, her hair in pigtails. But Jenny noticed that her zipper was open. Jenny debated about what she should do. Should she tell her to zip up, or should she just keep her mouth shut? In this day and age, a person doesn't know if they should even approach a child. Jenny was in complete turmoil. She kept glancing at the girl. What should she do, oh what SHOULD she do? As she stood there trying to decide, she felt a small hand softly and tenderly grasp her arm and start to guide her across the street. Jenny was completely dumbfounded, but went where she was led. At the other side, the girl patted her gently, smiled and said "There you go." She quickly ran back to where she was and started playing again.
Jenny never got to tell her about her zipper, but she realized that the girl had understood that Jenny was in a turmoil and wanted to help. The girl just thought that the old lady was too scared to cross by herself.
What a sweet little girl! How it changed my life:When it seems that all you ever hear is the bad things, it's nice and gives you hope to hear the good.
