Swimming with the dead

Anne decided to go swimming that day. She wanted to work on her turns at the end of the lanes and she wanted to lose a little weight. When she got there the usual regulars were there and a few kids as it was school holidays. There was a lane free and she was pretty happy with that. She took off her clothes (her bathers were underneath) and got in. She enjoyed the pools. It was a place for her to think and excersise at the same time. She had done 4 laps and was tiring. She came to the end of the isle and did her underwater turn but underestimated how close she really was and bumped her head. She put her hand on it under the water and felt someone drag her up out of the water. She opened her eyes and it was a handsome man. He looked a year or two older than herself and was really cute and strong. He introduced himself as Carter Smith and they she apologised, embarrassed for scaring him. She insisted she was okay and he offered to help with her turns. She was delighted. He was so cute she would have done almost anything to spend the day with him and he offered to spend time with her! She couldnt believe it. Several hours later, and she had perfected her turns. He was a great help and they had chatted about all sorts of things. They had so much in common. She felt herself falling for him more and more with every minute she spent with him. They agreed it was time to eat so they got out of the pool and got thier towels. As they were lining up to buy something to eat, he moved into her and kissed her. It was a long passionate kiss and she felt her knees weaken. He was everything she wanted in a man. They had something to eat and went back to the pool area. He wanted to get back in but Anne preferred to let her food settle so she told him to go ahead. He kissed her again before getting back in the pool. She grinned at him as he got onto the diving board and dived into the pool. After a minute there was no sign of him resurfacing. After two minutes she got up from her chair and searched the pool. He was no where to be found. She panicked and got the guard who cleared everyone out of the pool and Anne searched every face that got out. Carter was no where to be found! How could he just dissappear? The guard advised her to sit down and the manager approached her. He asked what the mans name was and she said "Carter Smith" the manager looked at the guard and they both shook their heads. "Is this some sort of joke?" the manager said. "NO" Anne replied "Not at all... he said he was Carter Smith" and she continued to describe what he looked like and what they had done all day. The manager then said "you must have bumped your head pretty hard... Carter Smith was a diving Pro who had an accident here 5 years ago and got killed on the diving board" "No...." Anne said. It was all she could say while shaking her head. She whiped a tear from her eye and looked up to see a rotting corpse with what looked to be a huge split down his head that was dripping with blood. "Oh, I thought you liked me!" The corpse said and grinned at her with rotted black teeth. Anne screamed and ran from the pool. She never went there ever again.
