Though Quietly I Crept, I Looked Through Velvet Green,
I Saw A Light Reflecting, So Rich, It Seemed A Dream,
As I Gently Parted Branches, My Curiousity Was Piqued,
I Saw A Woman Warrior, Eyes Closed, Yet Not Asleep,
I Approched Her With Awe, My Eyes As Wide As A Childs,
She Opened Her Eyes, Gazed At Me, Her Mouth, It Played A Smile.
I Knew She Was A Goddess, Her Power Was A Shield,
I Her Face Showed She Knew Secrets, That Had Never Been Reviled,
And Though I Was Frightened, To Share The Company Of Such,
She Gestured A Set Beside Her, And Said "We Have Need To Discuss Much".
I Was Stunned To Think, This Goddess Knew Me Well,
She Said "Why The Surprise? In Your Heart I dewll".
She said "I'll Show You A Mystery, My Faithful Servant, Dear"
And So I Sat Beside Her, And She Pulled Me Near,
We Glanced Upon A Stone, Togather We Could See,
A Vision Of Her Temple, And Men, They Were Three,
They Tore Apart Her Altar, And Spat Upon Her Stair,
They Mocked Her, Full Of Anger, I Knew They Didn't Care,
Would They Have Dared Attack My Lady? If They Had Seen Her Near?
My Heart Was Full A-quiver, I Thought Their Fate, Full-Fear.
But, My Lady Deeply Sighed, And Laid Her Bow And Quiver Down,
I Looked At Her Amazed? Why Didn't She Stand Her Ground?
She Smiled At My Innocence, And Said "You Understand Not"
For In My Temple, They Only Destroyed Things",
Things Can Be Replaced, But The Human Spirit, Cannot.
