HI.. I just wanted to let you know that alot of my family members have Diabetes and as long as they take thier medication and follow a healthy diet .. they live a very normal life... I don't know your full situation .. but I just wanted to share or hopefully ease your mind a bit to let you know.. Life can still be normal.. My prayers are with you.. Hang in there.. -Angel |

Yo Keeks, Of course you shall receive a prayer or three my friend. And please, try not to worry Keeks...Diabetes CAN be controlled in the greater majority of cases. Both my parents have Diabetes...my mom went through a rather scary phase of high/low bloods, blackouts, dizzy spells, burning muscles the whole gambit...'Brittle Diabetes' the doctors called it...but that scary phase soon turned into a well controlled diet and medications, now she manages fine and is stabalised. The Docs will nail it down for ya Keeks...please have faith in that...once they find the right medication/treatment for ya I'm sure things will be okay. Either way, may the Good Lord watch over and keep you healthy and happy. Peace,  |

29.7 and she would be in a coma Sunshine Girl...297 sounds a little more like it but VERY high. No wonder you have been blacking out. Normal blood sugar is 75-115 for someone who is not diabetic.....many diabetics run as high as the 300's. Diabetes if very controlable with proper nutrition and regular checkups. Don't worry so much Kat everything will be fine. *hugs*  |

HONEY YOU are in my Prayers. Lordy my blood sugar was only 43 one morning, I thought I was going to die, hypoglacmia. I was prayed for this was 14 years ago and I've been healed everysince. I could eat for such a long time, NO CANDY, nothing that would turn into sugar really fast. It was scary when I would hit the highs and lows, make one feel like they were going to passout, lose control of their bowels and bladder and the heart rate got way DOWN. Prayer worked for me, and I know it can work for you. Godbless you girl. I loves ya.  |

Diabetes isn't a death sentance...it's hard... but you can get through it... just today actually a person with Diabetes swam across a lake just outside of where i live(about as wide as the english channel)... so there is hope  |

Let me guess...Glucophage and Glucotrol, right? Went thru the same thing a few years back and had to take both meds for it. Funny thing is, it takes more than one diabetes test to accurately diagnose the disease. Turns out that I am not diabetic and the test results were contaminated by the cough syrup the Dr had me on at the time. Have them re-test you doing a fasting blood sugar if they haven't already. I'm sorry...it should have read more than one abnormal test to diagnose diabetes. You wouldn't happen to be pregnant, would you? There are lots of women who develope it while pregnant, only to be "normal" after the baby arrives. Again, Bright Blessings! |

kiki..my mother is diabetic...now she takes insulin shots but her doctor told her with exerscise and eating different she could be on those pills...which is a whole heck of a lot better...with keeping everything monitored shes just fine.
