My story all starts with a young teen girl named Amy. Amy wasn’t like other girls her age. Everyone at school called her a witch and wouldn’t go near her, because she was into making Voodoo dolls. As the story is told by many people town, Amy used to be a normal kid and had lots of friends, until one day while her best friend was sleeping over for the night she kept on hearing this scratch…scratch…scratch sound. Her friend started to get scared and quickly awoken Amy. She asked her where that noise was coming from and Amy ended up telling her all about her “secret” life. The noise that was coming from the room next to them was really an experiment turned bad. She was in the process of making a Voodoo doll, but had read the wrong spell and made it into a life-sucking monster. This was how everyone in town had found out about Amy.
Three years had passed and Amy’s taunting had gotten worse, but by grade eleven her luck had changed. There was a new girl who had just started at her school. Amy was getting pretty desperate for a friend, so she got some courage and went up to the new girl, and started to have a simple yet, great conversation. The two of them quickly bonded and became great friends.
As the months passed Amy had grown to trust her new found friend René and decided that she wanted to let René in on her secret. René just couldn’t believe what she was hearing as Amy let her in on every little detail. But eventually told Amy that she would still be her friend no matter what.
One evening Rene’s cat had run away, and she became very concerned. But her mother just reassured her that the kitty would come back soon. Well days had started to pass, which turned into weeks, and finally René got really upset and went to the police station to put up a ‘Missing Poster’ in the station. She had given one of the officers her cat’s photograph and he went over to a wall filled with lots of pictures of missing people. She questioned the officer asking how long the people had been missing for, and he replied, “Well, these past five years we have had one person go missing on Halloween night. It’s quite a strange coincidence isn’t it?” “Yes, it sure is,” René replied a little shakily.
The next day when René went to school she met up with Amy quickly and told her about the strange Halloween disappearances that had been happening the past five years. Amy replied, “That’s quite weird, I haven’t heard a thing about it” “Hmmm…. That’s odd,” replied René.
The school year had passed really fast that year and the next thing that they knew it was October, almost Halloween. The weekend before the Halloween weekend Amy had asked René if she could sleepover, and she could. But René had no idea what she was getting herself into...
