I thought I would share a story , wooden nickel

this story is from a lady in ontario.

I thought I would share a story that really happened to me and my family about 8 years ago. I love angels. Well besides being Gods messengers and the fact that they protect us I have had personal experiences with them a couple of times. This really happened to me, Here goes... My husband and I were taking a group of youth on a youth group outing. We were driving in our car on the QEW highway (Ontario).

WE had way too many kids packed into our car (illegal!!!). A lady in a small red car starting beeping her horn and waving her hands and pointing to our car. She seemed very upset so my husband pulled over to see what was wrong. She did not stop... she just drove on. Well when my husband got out of the car to see what was wrong the tire had exploded! WE could have all been killed.

Now comes the exciting part.

A police car pulled over!! Oh no... too many kids, no seat belts.. we are in trouble ( I thought!). Not the case. Out stepped two very tall, very handsome officers(?) one with LONG blonde hair and one with LONG dark hair! They were kind of shining. All polished up! The blonde came over to help my husband. He was so caring. He gave Max his gloves and actually did most of the work. He even put the old tire in the truck for us. While he was doing this the other dark haired one asked the kids to come with him and he took them to his car and showed them how to work the siren and the lights etc.!

It was awesome.

When they were done the two officers(?) put their hands on Maxs (my husband) shoulder and kind of hugged him. They said be careful now, you have a big responsibility. We all got in our car (too many kids remember) and they got into their cruiser. We pulled out onto the highway. The kids looked in the rear view mirror and waved to the men.

All of a sudden one of the kids said, "they are gone... they disappeared!"

We didnt believe it at first but there was not exit, no turn off and no CRUISER!!! Gone.

We know that the Lord sent them to help and protect us. He also commissioned that lady in the little red car to signal us. You see, every day I pray for angels to guard and protect us and they did!! About two weeks later, I read in Focus on The Family magazine that similar situation had happen all over Canada and the USA. It was so cool, WE will never forget it. The youth were really ministered to too!

There are other times that I will share in another letter some day Jesus loves us and looks after us...Amen!!!

Keep looking up...God Loves You... And so do I!

A Wonderful World!

Every once in a while the world opens up and lets heaven shine through...

We open up our senses and realize just how wonderful the simple things are and just how beautiful nature can be.

Sunshine on an early spring morning...

A beautiful sunset...

A song that brings back memories...

Moonlight over the water...

The smell of fresh flowers after a rain...

The laughter of children at play...

A peaceful stream and a gentle waterfall...

All of these things make me love life and feel good, And the same is true when I think of you.

You are an important part of my life and I just want to thank you for making my world even more wonderful!

A REAL HOME is a playground. Beware of the house where no rough-housing is allowed and no cries of glee are heard.

A REAL HOME is a workshop. Pity the child who is unfamiliar with wrenches and hammers, knitting needles, thread, screwdrivers and saws.

A REAL HOME is a forum. Honest, open discussion of life's great problems belongs originally and primarily in the family circle.

A REAL HOME is cooperative. Households flourish in peace when the interest of each is the interest of all.

A REAL HOME is a school. Many of life's most important and lasting lessons are learned here, both early in life and later on.

A REAL HOME is a temple, where people are loved and respected and where life is appreciated, in the recognition that life in all its parts is a gift of God, with our family being our personal and most precious gift.

Is your home A REAL HOME?

"Dad," said Jason, "I'm late for football practice. Would you please do my homework for me?"

The father said, irately, "Son, it just wouldn't be right!"

"That's okay," replied Jason, "but you could at least give it a try, couldn't you?"

According to inside contacts, the Japanese banking crisis shows no signs of stopping.

Following last week's news that Origami Bank had folded, we are hearing that Sumo Bank has gone belly up and Bonsai Bank plans to cut back some of its branches.

Karaoke Bank is up for sale and is (you guessed it!) going for a song.

Meanwhile, shares in Kamikaze Bank have nose-dived and 500 back-office staff at Karate Bank got the chop.

Analysts report that there is something fishy going on at Sushi Bank and staff there fear they may get a raw deal.

One day, there were two guys playing golf on a Sunday, like they have every week possible for the past 3 years.

Right when the first man was about to swing his club, a woman in a wedding dress came running down the fairway, yelling, "You bum! You lousy bum! You promised!"

The man said "Honey, I said only if it rains today."

A teenage boy and his grandfather go fishing one day.

While fishing, the old man starts talking about how times have changed.

The young man picks up on this and starts talking about the various problems going around.

The teen says, "Grandpa, they didn't have a whole lot of problems when you were young did they?"

Grandpa replies, "Nope."

The teen says, "Well, what did you guys use for safe sex?"

Grandpa replies, "A wedding ring."

One sunny day a man decided to go jump from an airplane. When he jumped there was good and bad news.... Good news: He had a parachute. Bad News: It didnt work. Good News: There was a haystack down below. Bad news: There was a pitchfork in the haystack. Good News: He missed the pitchfork. Bad News: He missed the haystack.

Lessons from the Real World!

Living well really IS the best revenge.

Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

You only need two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use duct tape.

When baking, follow directions carefully. When cooking on top of the stove, go by your own taste.

Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond to it.

The two most essential phrases for a happy relationship are: "I apologize" and "You are right."

Being happy doesn't mean everything's perfect, it just means you decided to see beyond the imperfections and be happy anyway.

When you make a mistake, make amends immediately. It's easier to eat crow while it's still warm.

If you woke up breathing, be thankful! You have another chance!

Being miserable because of a former relationship just proves that the other person was right about you.

Real friends are those who, when you make a fool of yourself, don't feel you've done a permanent job.

If he or she says that you are too good for them - believe it.

You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.

You should lead your life so you wouldn't be ashamed to sell your parrot to the town gossip.

Learn from the mistakes of others. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

And last but not least... Never pass up an opportunity to pee!
